Y'know, this actually wouldn't surprise me. 4 games in one HD collection just isn't done, and assuming that they wanted all of the Dimps-developed games out in HD, it would make sense to release B3 and IW separately seeing as they're so similar, so the only option would be to either leave out IW altogether for a three-game release or have two non-consecutive collections so that the average Joe doesn't feel ripped off at basically paying for the same game twice over.
I never actually expected Infinite World to be included. As much as I enjoyed it, to most people it was a barely-updated Budokai 3 with a bare-bones story mode and shitty mini-games. I'm pretty sure both it and Budokai 2 are just not going to see another release, but maybe this time next year Namco Bandai will prove me wrong.

Man I'm really hoping they just forgot to mention online play or something, since that was the main reason a lot of people wanted Budokai 3 re-released in the first place.

Hopefully the will elaborate on that sometime.

Still looking like a pretty good collection.

The song on the DBZ Budokai HD sounds so freaking cool, I can't stop listening to it! xD

This replacement soundtrack might turn out to be something great, but not better than the original score.

It's a shame Budokai 2 isn't being included, because as similar as it is to the others - the what if fusions/absorptions and the board game story mode were really cool. The lack of B2 and online play just reeks of laziness to be honest.

Saying that though, I did love Budokai 3 so I will likely pick this up. I hope it does well because that might prompt Namco Bandai to get a Tenkaichi collection out the door. Even though those games aren't the deepest fighting games around, they're the closest you'll get to an authentic Dragon Ball experience, and the recent games haven't come close.

Not trying to be a party pooper here because I am getting this. But isn't kinda sad that were getting excited for a re-release of an old game. but when new games come out were ''OMG this looks horrible'' I do find that funny
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Same here. Still looks a lot better. The Budokai 3, especially the pic of Broly, reminds me of Burst Limit...very glossy looking.

Personally I don't really care about B1 or B2 but I am surprised that they are releasing B1 and B3 in a collection but skipping B2. But maybe if this does good they will release a BT collection and then maybe a collection with SDBZ and IW. But if they do only end up releasing 1 collection then I wish they would of done a mix with B3/IW, BT2/BT3, SDBZ. Great DBZ games that all play very differently is better than 2 games that are similar but one has far better gameplay.

Well this sucks. I fucking love Budokai 2. I guess the Japanese voice cast for Budokai 1 is nice, though.

No B2? Darn. I have reason to fix my 360 now though.

I really doubt that they are going to add Infinite World into any collection anytime soon given that most people didn't liked that game and I doubt anyone wants to re-play it again when Budokai 3 was a better game critically speaking. I plan to buy this collection since I loved Budokai 3 and I won't mind re-playing Budokai 1 again. The last time I played Budokai 1 was in 2003 when I got it for the Gamecube.

A bit surprised there's no Budokai 2, but it looks cool. Hopefully there's online play.

I'm starting to think that Budokai 2 was left out because they feel like most fans didn't like it. If you look back in 2003 on sites like Gamefaqs and IGN, most DB fans on those forums didn't enjoy it as much as the first Budokai game.

That's my issue with this. I really hope they will remaster more old games. If that's really just this one, then the choice of games is quite questionable.

At the time, aside from the graphics, I didn't like the game as much either. I was hoping to see Budokai 1 treatment for the Buu saga with the story mode but I got a board game instead. Years later, while it's not the best thing in the world, I gotta praise it for being different. I think most fans at the time felt the same way. However, I love those eastereggs and I was sad they didn't make their way into Budokai 3. Still though, like I said before in the gran scheme of things Budoaki 2 didn't bring a whole lot to the table that B3 didn't do better. Budokai 3 improved the graphics(though just a bit); had a better story mode-hell it had more modes in general. And the character count is pretty satisfying. Aside from the what-if characters, there really isn't a need for 2. That being said, this "collection" still feels incomplete without 2.

Lets not go overboard here. The game is good, arguably the best we've seen this generation but it's still incomplete and far from brilliant(even for a Dragonball game).
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

As long as they don't replace the Budokai 3 opening with THAT...

I'm hoping they add extra content to Budokai 3, like Kuriza from 2V and some of the Heroes stuff (maybe even Episode of Bardock here too  )

Here's hoping they do a HD Collection 2 with IW and Super DBZ. (And leave Sparking for last, 'cuz that's gonna have to be an import...)

I hope this outsells the Kinect game. Maybe then Namco or Shuesia will finally get the message that this current gen is lackluster.

No Sparking! METEOR? Aww, I'm legitimately disappointed. There's no reason to not have a Vita release, either.
