I can't speak for the quality of the series and characters, but Pretty Cure is highly regarded for its animation, which does make great use of complex animation and choreography.Michsi wrote:Was it confirmed that it's going to be animated by Toei? She/Her I know it's highly regarded for it's fights, which to me was unusual for this genre and it was why I decided to give it a try. I went straight for what were considered the best fights and I was still not particulary impressed . Hironori Tanaka is one of the few animators that I know about and I think he is doing fantastic work, but even with animators like him at the steering wheel, you still get a different animation quality depending on the studio. For instance, look at the difference between, for example, studio Bones (FMA) and Pretty Cure. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's not amoung the best. And even if there are good fight scenes in there, if they are too few and far between, I can't say it's a well animated series. If they decided to reanimate Kai in such a fashion, with say, only the Goku vs.Freeza fight and the Cell vs. Gohan fight done well and rest kept subpar, then I'd rather have the old one.
