Yes, heartless asshole was a bit too much, but still, i don`t like Goku attidute in Buu Saga, guess 7 years in Other World changed him, sorry for this offtopic, it make me wonder, if next chapter will be continuation of story, or another filler.

I think it's just very difficult to rationalize the values dissonance between the world as it exists and the one we're presented with in Dragon Ball. In Dragon Ball, death is very literally "going to another dimension" and is laughably easy to fix. So in DBM, Pan saying she doesn't want to compete because she might die is kinda like a kid in our world saying he doesn't want to ride a bike because he might fall. And while this is constantly lampshaded in the fandom, the characters themselves still play death super straight which is really, really strange since it paints a rational outlook like Goku's as if it's mean-spirited or something.

Why? Apparently, the Vargas and the Nameks probably have access to multiple sets of Dragon Balls. And she won't be revived until the end of the tournament if she dies.
