Whether or not these transformations greatly affect the franchise, I am disgusted by the fact that they can't come up with anything better than AF crap.

AF crap? I can only think of 2 to 4 AF stuffs for now, 2 pending.
Pending: SSJ Bardock, SSJ3 Future Trunks
Definite: SSJ3 Broly, SSJ3 (Present Timeline Adult) Trunks

On a serious way, they probably wanna stop to milk out SSJ3. And about SSJ3 Gogeta, SSJ3 Gogeta is possible, but I don't see any sense in this form (if we are only looking at Z now), same for SSJ3 Vegetto.
And how come Majin Ozotto isn't included, yet? Even if he is a videogame only character, this dude needs a place in DBH and probably his own Special Animation/Manga. I mean look at Hatchyakku...

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Who says these transformations need any sense? They're just what-ifs.

I think you and me have vastly different opinions of "AF Shit". Giving a SS or SS3 design to a character here and there isn't that bad, it's actually a little refreshing to see official designs for some of these ideas. You can call me and I'll join your side when they start tapping into the TRUE shit, like "Mega-Nega Dark Angel Super Saiyan 22 Gogetto" and "Primal Light Super Saiyan 4 Kuririn"... Just think I'm kidding you:

I could care less if they are make these transformations. I don't view the games as canon, so they can make a SSj5 Goku and I could careless.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Is there any way to download the new opening from the official site?

You have to get an .asx downloader. I had one, it was all in Korean but still workable, I don't have it anymore and forgot the name. But a simple Google search should give you results. You might want to get a converter too.

...that is a LOT of new animation. Like sixty seconds' worth. And not just animation, DragonBall GT animation. Which I thought I'd never see revisited in this fashion.

Nicely done.
