That's not confirmed. It comes from someone who claims to have access to the next issue, but treat it with a grain of salt until we get pictures from the magazine (or next week when it comes out).
So there is a chance that this might be end up being fake? I will laugh if it does end up being fake.

I just woke up from all the excitement from last night and the first thing I did was come to Kanzenshuu :D And what do I see starring back at me? Awesomeness that's what! This is my main wish Shenron!

I wish this movie is Animated like the old movies or at-least Animated like ''yo! the return of son goku and friends'' Please Shenron grant my wish!

How awesome would it be if this movie was the true ending to Z and just throws GT in the garbage.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Just happy thats its something new and fresh. I was kinda sort of disappointed with Episode of Bardock. Now if I can just get some airline tickets to Tokyo for cheap just to see the movie. My buddy from back in high school lives in Japan. I could give him a heads up.

As much as I would to see this in theaters (I'm so not buying a plane ticket to Japan anytime soon), I wouldn't mind at all to wait for the DVD release. And hopefully soon after that, a funi english dub.

I'm really excited about this! Though I wonder, if it gets released on theaters first, when will the DVD (and Internet) release happen? The Naruto movies take almost a year to get the DVD release...
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

The announcement itself is genuine, but we have no confirmation of any of the details yet. All we know for sure at this moment is that there is a new Dragon Ball movie in the works.

Rather than the animation, I hope they give us a proper release that is NOT in mono, WITHOUT macroblocking, and NOT a limited release like the 2008 special, New Plan to Eradicate The Super Saiyans and Episode of Bardock.

The chances are most of us will have to wait for Funimation to released it on DVD and Blu-Ray which won't be until 2014. I highly doubt this will get a major release in the US since anime films have never seem to a big release in the US other then films from Studio Ghibli. We will be lucky if Funimation give this film a limited screening in the US since I believe they did that before with several of their films like with Evangelion 1.0?

We'll be lucky if we just get this released here in the US. I'm talking an official DVD release. We still haven't got Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans Remake, Episode of Bardock, The Jump Special.

I'm calling it 10 bucks says people will be making videos saying Hoshi confirmed 2013 or 14!

I find the wording very odd - "Being made into a movie". It's as if they never made a DragonBall movie before. I think, maybe it imply's something totally different? Perhaps they're saying the DragonBall manga is being made into a movie? Well, I was always hoping for a series of movies based off of the series so it's easy for me to come to that conclusion.

Eh, maybe it's just me. With so little information it's so easy for us as fans to just come up with our own predictions and hopes of what it might be.

They'd haft to make the movie really long for that though right?

I love the fact that Dragonball ended years ago and it's still relevant today :D

Not if it's a series of movies. Like if each year was a different story arc (or two). Something like "Path to Power" where it's really just a general re-telling and not throwing in every detail and taking some liberties along the way.

Since this is supposed to be a full length movie then some OVA or a movie that runs barely a half hour then I think it's likely that Funimation will release it the US. I think it being direct to video is likely then some type of theatrical released.

Yeah that could work, I don't see it happening :? But I would like to see them give Z a proper ending. maybe make it like ''Yo! son Goku and friends return'' but implement things from the Dragonball online story stuff.

All 42 volumes into one movie. No scenes omitted.
