Why? Apparently, the Vargas and the Nameks probably have access to multiple sets of Dragon Balls. And she won't be revived until the end of the tournament if she dies.
Yeah, but if she dies after the tournament, she wouldn't simply be able to be revived by the earth's Dragon Balls.

It would seem that even being revived by other Dragon Balls count as having the wish granted before, as during the Cell Games Gohan made a comment about only Trunks being able to be revived with the Dragon Balls.

Hmm... I don't remember what Gohan said in the Cell games, but everyone was glad in Namek to find out that Porunga could revive someone who had been revived before.

Logically, even if Porunga had the same limitation (same wish rule) as Shenlong, he should be able to grant the wish since he wasn't the one who granted the wish. But the series seems to imply that perhaps he couldn't as you said.

I think that the answer to this isn't clear since the series doesn't give us a straight answer as far as I can remember, but even if we believe this to be true, Universe 18 still has Porunga in the new planet Namek and Goku who is capable of going there within minutes. So... It wouldn't be a real problem if Pan died (twice), just a little more inconvenient.

Speaking of Dragon Balls, why did the Z warriors who were killed in the Cell and Bojack universes not contact New Namek to revive them?

Dende could have also done this as well.

Well, its possible that Cell destroyed the afterlife and/or Namek. He can teleport wherever he wants and I don't think that even Kaioshin would be able to resist.

As for Bojack, maybe Bojack destroyed Namek before they could be revived? In the special it says that Bojack felt the forces of Gohan and Cell. Maybe after he killed Gohan and the others he also felt the Nameks and went there and killed them.

Or maybe Bojack and Cell settled somewhat down after those fights and didn't pose that much of a threat to the universe itself. Dying isn't a big deal in Dragon Ball. Good people just go to heaven, they know this. So maybe they accepted their fate since Cell and Bojack weren't trying to destroy the universe itself.

Vegeta is such a great uncle. I also love how Pan isn't like the other human saiyan hybrids, and actually wants to train and test her limits. BTW, I love Videl's face in the third panel.

Well, she does want to fight. She is just afraid of getting killed. This is the first time she is facing the possibility of her own death and she is still a kid, no wonder she got cold feet. But Gohan isn't wrong, she really does want to fight. She just needed a push to have the courage of facing a combat with such high stakes.

Next up is another special, Universe 13 (Kuririn, Yamcha, Tenshinhan & co) this time.

EDIT: my mistake. U13 is Vegeta, Kakarotto, Nappa and Raditz.

Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

Don't get confused, its the Sayan's universe. It just so happens that it will show us the fate of Yamcha and Tenshinhan in that universe.

Congraulations, Pan. You both earned Vegeta's respect and proved to be more Saiyan than your uncle, Vegeta's kids and your own dad :D

Oh, so this will be another slaughter fest chapter but with Kakarot killing Tenshinhan and Yamcha? Neat.

Does this mean that after the Boo arc, everybody's boned if something happens? Since literally the entire population of Earth minus Mr. Satan got revived.

If its true, yes. Of course, there is nothing saying that Dende can't simply upgrade or create Dragon Balls without that limitation. When he talked about it in the Cell arc it was sort of "oh, I didn't realize that you wanted that as well... Its too late now". He never said it was impossible to do it if he had time.

No, they got revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls, so they're fine.

What the fuck is wrong with the art? It looks like someone else is drawing it. :|
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

No they aren't. A revival from death is implied to count as a strike against their "revival record" no matter what set of Dragon Balls is used to make the wish. Vegeta, Tenshinhan and Yamcha were revived by Porunga, but, at the Cell Games, Gohan says that everyone other than Trunks had already died once before, and they can't use their Dragon Balls to revive them anymore...
