Dear god, yes! "Mirai e no Houkou", done.
Something like Skill would probably be more likely, but JAM Project is JAM Project, so who cares? :P

So who do you think will compose the BGM for this?

I wonder if they can get Kikuchi to do new work. But I don't think he does any composing anymore.

I would believe it will get the same soundtrack used in "Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans" and "Episode of Bardock", whoever did that, probably new tracks as well, but in the same vein of that new score.

Even if Kikuchi didn't return I'd like to see them use numerous pieces from his score that we don't see used these days.

They could get someone to recompose some of his work and add a "modern" or "cinematic" spin to them.

I can see this happening as Toei Animation seems to like to use old DBZ music pieces.

I've left that countdown running continuously in another tab ever since I found out that it's connected to a new Dragonball Z movie. ;p

As much as I would love to hear brand new Kukichi compositions for this movie, it's hard to say if he's still composing anymore. It's more than likely he retired. Besides, with the quote from Toriyama saying the story with also have a "modern flavor" to it, It makes me wonder how much that'll reflect upon the soundtrack. Kikuchi's OST is fitting, but sounds dated now in comparison to other shonen series these days.

I'm don't know of the name of the composer, but...I kinda hope this person won't be composing the new film. I don't know, something about the music in "PtEtSS" and "EoB" seamed awfully low budget to me. I'm not sure if this was due to the rushing of post production after their announcement or what, but it didn't always hit the right cord with me. Maybe with the right amount of time would allow for better quality soundtrack music, but I wasn't impressed.

Now on the other hand, I greatly enjoyed Hiroshi Takaki as a composer for the animated segments in Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi. His music felt very grandiose to me, especially with the scenes of Piccolo's Sacrifice and Gohan departing with Goku to fight Majin Buu. It was full of emotion and I absolutely loved it! I sure wouldn't mind hearing his score for the new movie!

(btw, if both composers happen to be the same person, then   he sure fooled me)

Actually, he did compose a song in 2010: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6CrrYIbtak#t=41s

...Since DBZ is/was as bit a powerhouse as One Piece...maybe we'll get some Strong World/One Piece Z -quality animation for this.

Yes, please!

Even if the plot may not turn out that great, I can deal with it as long as the quality of the animation is like that.

Also, I am really interested in who will be in charge of the soundtrack.

I hope Tien shows up... sucks that he wasn't in the 2008 anime special because his voice actor died.

Well he hardly had any scenes in the original Buu arc and I don't see him in the promo images. But who knows he might be in the movie.

I'm more fond of Crest of Z's, but I think something like Crush Gear Fight would be more fitting for DBZ.

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Awesome, I want more new Kikuchi stuff whether it's on Dragon Ball's new film or elsewhere! :)

Fingers crossed Toei Animation hires Kikuchi to do DBZ's film soundtrack.

Since Toriyama's directly working on the script, I hope there isn't a reference to any of the other movies. That'll stir up a whole canon debate real quick.

I've been saying that for a while. The best thing we could have would be totally original characters unrelated to any previous characters.

lulz Even if he doesn't show up in the movie proper, watch Broli slip in again like with PtEtS(S).

You've reminded me of a question I wanted to ask but probably Namco Bandai would know it better (don't have any means to ask them such thing).

Why didn't they also include Goku & His Friends Return on Raging Blast 2?

It's just that as they featured Tarble from the 2008 Special and Hatchiyack from OVA 2010, having both specials would've been much better than just PtEtSS.

Anywho, I liked G&HF and PtEtSS but really hope this new DBZ film is better than these two specials (Special/OVA). :)
