I had Shin Budoukai and played it pretty much every day because I had nothing else to do, was so addicted to it, and especially liked that little profile mode thingy where you can edit backgrounds, characters and stuff onto them. But then my PSP broke and I never bothered to buy a new one. :(

Aw, man! If only I didn't lose my PSP, because I would totally of just bought it for those features alone.

I never knew SB had this feature because I always went right to battling CPU opponents.

I do have a PSP Slim hacked (fully boxed) but not using it as I'm trying to sell it and for gaming I've gone back to GTA IV on 360, the story mode is really cool and realistic (especially that mission where they rob the bank).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I got a PSP for my birthday in 2006 just to play Shin Budokai. It was a fun game and I feel like the sequel was better given how it had more replay value to it. I wish they made a third game but I guess the second game didn't do well as they hope for?

Have the second one....the story is interesting, but the fights do get repetitive in story mode. BUT the fighting itself was awesome and I still have it. ....might go play it now that you bring it up :P

I spent £200 on a used PSP with Shin Budokai just because the PSP finally had a DBZ game that was similar to the full power console games at the time. Shin Budokai 2 was my favourite though.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

Evolution is pretty much just a reskinned Shin Budokai with fabulous finishing moves, lol.

Still makes the game leaps and bounds better than its movie counterpart.

I still have both of them.
Totally enjoyed the story in Shin Budokai....downloaded a game save for Shin Budokai 2 mid-way through its story.
Whenever I go somewhere on a trip I take Shin Budokai 2, Tag Vs, Bleach HTS7 and Rurouni Kenshin Saisen.

I have the second one after advices of users on this message board. The story was interesting at first but later it got boring and redudant with over the top challenges in the later parts and not well executed. I was unable to finish the last fight where there are like 8 villains at the same time and you must defeat one of them for 3 times to finish him completely and as you go off the fight, the next will arrive so you kinda can't heal..... After 2 hours trying, I downloaded save file.
Other than that it's cool game DBZ game on PSP, but from what I've heard, SB2 is same as SB only have few more characters.

Evolution for PSP is a pretty fun game, and definitely doesn't deserve the classification as "worst reviewed PSP game in history". How can you give that to a game that has Yamcha's special move being him jumping into a Hummer and running over the opponent?

Adored the combat system of the 2nd game, and would still play it today if I had a PSP.

Was it the screen for you, too? It's so huge it's like the LCDs were begging to be burst.

I used to have the first Shin Budokai and I played it a lot when there were slow times between releases (and there were a lot, trust me). I really wish I could play it again...

Nah it was something internal but a lot of my friends had broken screens.

Well maybe I guess.. I thought it did better than the first game it did. It was more improved. I guess Tenkaichi Tag Team was the sucsessor.. It was cool budokai console games ported to the Handhelds.

Shin Budokai Another Road didn't sell as well as Shin Budokai but there isn't much between them in sales. And to be honest its not beaten in sales by most of the other fighting games on the PSP. The only fighting games that beat them are WWE Smackdown vs Raw(Not surprising considering the franchises following, which I really don't get), Dissidia and Mortal Kombat: Unchained.

Shin Budokai has sold:- 508,969 total, as of this year.
Shin Budokai Another Road has sold:- 420,700 total, as of this year.
And Tenkaichi Tag Team has sold:- 193,060 total, as of this year.

Shin Budokai 2 was also once of the reasons I got my PSP. Worth it, just wish I had a human opponent, the fatal flaw of portable fighters.

Well I believe some people still play through AdHoc Party but it isn't such a good connection. I haven't got SB2, thought I really want it, and I have yet to play through AdHoc Party with any game other than Monster Hunter Freedom Unite but it surely can't be as laggy as Burst Limit, can it? I know Monster Hunter Freedom Unite wasn't that bad when it came to AdHoc Party but that may be because of the way they designed the multiplayer to only gather the bare-minimum information required for the PSP's to talk to one another(Hence why other players are fighting smaller mobs you can't see because its only on their system and why sometimes the main monster is off on one persons screen sometimes).
