Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

What sort of new bad guys would everyone like to see the cast face? Makaioshin like in DBO? A new saiyajin? Some kind of space army? Another mad scientist? As long as I find the new bad guy(s) interesting, I'm not overly picky. I just want it to be somebody we haven't seen before.

I don't think it is said if either of them are Makaioshin or anything but that is for another thread.
Something involving the demon realm would be nice since we got a little bit of information about it that hasn't been used in anything yet. I also want something new but I'll be happy as long as it isn't in the typical Z movie fashion where the villain completely dominates the main cast until the last 5 minutes where they are defeated in one blow.

I'm happy to get just about anything at this point, so my one request will be that Goten gets to do something other than fuse with Trunks. He had a few cute moments in Yo!, so I guess something in that vein where he's recognized as a character and not just the other half of Gotenks.

I'd be great if in this movie they foreshadow Goten's "lady's man persona" (I use that term loosely) by giving him a little girlfriend or just have a girl character that teases him or something or just a crush.

I am wondering if we'll get a full blooded saiyan woman in this movie. I'm expecting them want to quench some fan wishes and a real female saiyan character has been one.

Well I'm not sure.

If it's set after the Buu saga how can you realistically come up with a new enemy that is stronger than SSJ3 Goku, or Ultimate Gohan, SSJ2 Vegeta? (not to mention the fusions)

I mean remember when weak Freezer set the benchmark for the strongest in the universe?

Maybe if ummm Goku and everyone was cloned and they were evil so it would be Goku vs Goku, Vegeta vs Vegeta etc..

I wouldn't mind more of it though. Depending on if the villain is to be a serious threat or not, I wouldn't mind if we don't even see Gotenks. As funny as he is, Gotenks never accomplishes anything, so I rather not have him implemented just as a "Gotenks will fight and screw up, forcing the others to finally step in" stall tactic for the plot. Give the boys individual cronies to fight on their own or something, as has been suggested...

As for what I'd like to see in the movie, I don't really know. I'll be happy just as long as it's something new, but perhaps having something akin to the Destron Gas, but done right? Have a villain that is resistant to ki like some of Freeza's grunts in DBO so that there is a bit more strategy to the action and more believably to why someone who doesn't have to be worlds above Buu can still be a threat to these uber heroes? I won't personally mind if the villain is stronger than Buu and pops out of nowhere, universe is a big and mysterious place, but I can see why people would bitch about that...

Just found out I have a friend in the armed forces stationed in Osaka. He said he is defintely watching the movie!! I told him I might even go myself and if by chance I don't, he would give me pics and all the info I needed to know about the film and release info!! I'm so siked!!!! Well, it is great that this is Dragon Ball Related and a movie taking place during or after the Kid Buu Saga, but I guess hoping for the Kai Buu Saga was way out of reach...

Since this takes place after the events of Majin Buu, we'll more than likely to see new villains (YAY!). Hopefully we'll also see new characters that will side with the good guys? I'm also wishful that some portion of the movie will take place in space, because earth in the DB world is super dull now. Maybe we'll even get a chance to see Tarble and his wife again? God, I'm hoping.

Seriously though, the time frame in which this movie takes place is before GT right? I'm bad at the what happens in what age.
