Well, this is embarrassing... I based my table on Wikipedia's own table and didn't notice that the table was missing Goku and Vegeta. :P

Woops!
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Not to beat a dead off-topic stint, but permanent, non-linear character progression is an RPG creation- it's just been integrated into a standard in most any other genre of game that can support it in any fashion. That doesn't change that RPGs are the originators of the idea.

OK. This is nothing new really BUT Namco Bandai hasn't released a playable demo of any Dragon Ball since Raging Blast 2's demo (21/10/2010) so this would be a great chance to promote Dragon Ball games with the Budokai series' games.

For the music issue, it's simple, load your custom soundtrack and choose which BGM you want to play during X scene/match.

Note: They don't have to but they could.

Don't worry, they're only the two most useless characters in the series.

IMO these games are nothing special, nothing new. We know basically everything about them, there is nothing to discuss at all, since it's normal Budokai 1 and 3 with no new features, improvements. All it has is worse than hyped HD (Just look at Raditz's hair in Budokai 3, WTH is that) and old BGMs from Ultimate Tenkaichi (Like hell, why did they even used UT BGMS in HD Collection is beyond me, couldn't they make anything new? >__>)

If we were to have Ultimate Blast's BGMs' on Budokai HD Collection it would be pretty awesome but everything video seems to be using BT3's soundtrack on Budokai HD Collection, sadly. :(

It wouldn't be awesome, because i got tired of these playing UT all year already. And yes, it had Ultimate Tenkaichi BGM in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber (Budokai 3) I hoped it would have completely new BGMs atleast @_@.

Here is the video (I had it in better quality, but i can't find it anywhere anymore. Maybe it got taken down.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnHZ3tAllm0

Even people comment on the video saying that they hear Ultimate Tenkaichi music.

Not quite sure what to think of the musical aspect of Budokai HD Collection now.

So it's Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Ultimate Tenkaichi, a supposed new soundtrack (basing off of the trailer) and some other?

I wish the Yamamoto scandal never happened. -.-

I agree, It's amazing what has happened since the scandal.

It's affected me by not buying the rest of Kai (which I had plans [for] too before the music got replaced) and I probably will get this (not going to lie). However, I am sad that my music for B3 won't be included in this release. I guess I better hang on to my original.

Let me get this straight. B3's soundtrack composed by Kenji Yamamoto is being replaced with... (nods his head) Kenji Yamaotos soundtrack from BT3? Apparently that makes perfect sense.

Why not just keep the B3 soundtrack if the scandal isn't the reason? (Taking that BT£ OST was composed by KY?)

It's not that I don't wish the scandel had never happened, more that it had happened 15 years ago so we would be in this mess now.

BT1's soundtrack was basically Budokai 3's.

BT1: 15 - The Revenge of the Saiyans Vs. Zarbon Post-Transformation
B3: 20 - Flight in the Dark Side

Hard to say which BT got the best soundtrack, on BT1 you have Yamamoto's B3 OST but then on BT2 there's much variety and great music to choose from, let's not talk about BT3 it's not worth it. Hell, I had to turn off the game music of BT3 because it got on my nerves while playing it.

I'm not saying whether or not his BT3 is good or not, that's subjective. I'm specifically asking if Kenji Yamamoto made BT3's OST then why is it included in the HD collection of B3? It's made by the same guy. What's the point?

Yeah, it's subjective, but the music itself is quite horrible except a very few tracks.

The composer of the in-game BGMs was Toshiyuki Kishi what you're thinking of Kenji Yamamoto was the Opening track.

http://youtu.be/9ls7cg-kfO8 (1:36 @ Kishi / 1:39 @ Yamamoto)

However, if the information on Wikipedia is correct and Toshiyuki Kishi is the Raging Blast 1 composer, then he did a far better job than on Budokai Tenkaichi 3's music.

Raging Blast 1 Soundtrack was wonderful.

'Always Forever Now' 'Victory Road' and many else great songs. Was that Yamamoto or Kishi who composed them?

Yep, RB1's IST (IST = International Soundtrack) was really good, sadly the repetitive use of the same BGMs got me bored and I'd load up custom music instead.

As for the composer, I couldn't find "Composer" on the credits list on the Credits of Dragon Ball Raging Blast Video, though there's a "Sound Designer: Hiroshi Isokawa".

Well that clears everything up for me. Thank you. Although subjective, I do have to agree with you a lot of the music from BT3 was kind of bad.
I did like a few:
-Edge of Spirit
-Hot Soul
-Wild Rush
-Power Scale! (Love this one)
-Shootout in the Meteor (2nd Fav)

Although most of these tracks are rock heavy. Perhaps to the point of saturation. Not all of them are bad. I never really thought BT3's soundtrack was TERRIBLE. Just... okay. BT2's was better.

I'm going to give my vote to the Budokai series all in all for better music. Perhaps a little nostalgia biased. Even though some tracks are copied.
Most notably:
-Challengers-> Hunting High and Low
-Warrior from and unknown Land-> Infinity
-Forgot the name of this one. I don't think this was copied (My number one of ALL DBZ games)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkbZlhZIGto I remember it was played in the Hyperbolic Time Chamer
Nice pic of Goku :p
