Why didn't the Orange Bricks look like this

Those orange brick shots look way too dark and oversaturated to me. That being said, I do vastly prefer the Blu-ray colors.

It's pretty dark all right. Dunno why, maybe FUNimation thought it'd be "cool" to make it darker and oversaturate it.

They wanted the show to look more like an American cartoon rather than a Japanese anime.

I'd totally sell my FUNimation Dragon Boxes Z if FUNimation were to release the Dragon Ball Z series with this quality, although it wouldn't have the NEPs but it'd still be a win-win situation.

But nah, guess we're stuck to the Final Orange Bricks forever.

Could someone get Blu Ray (episode) caps of these? I want to see how different the "Steve's Transfer" is compared to the finish product.

I'll post the shots shortly. It's a shame I can't take screenshots or even Print Screen through PowerDVD or TotalMedia Theatre so I have to rip the chapters and take them via Media Player Classic.


EDIT: VLC Media player actually, since Dolby TrueHD audio seems to freeze the video on MPC*
