Can fusees use their fusions' moves?
Can fusees use their fusions' moves?
This was just something I was wondering about lately. We see Gotenks, Vegetto and Gogeta all use unique techniques in battle and I'm wondering if those techniques are exclusive to them or not. For instance, could Goten or Trunks use the Kamikaze Ghost attack or Galactic Donut? Could Vegeta or Goku use Vegetto's Spirit Sword or Gogeta's Soul Punisher? I'm a little confused since we don't even know where the fusion gets those techniques from, but I suppose in Gotenks invented his during his RoSaT training.
Anyway, what do you guys think?

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: Can fusees use their fusions' moves?
I always thought some of their more unusual techniques, such as Soul Punisher (or is it Stardust Breaker?) and Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack and fusion techniques such as Big Bang Kamehameha and Final Kamehameha are magical in nature and only possible to the fused character given either fusion technique is based on magic.

Goku did something similar to Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker against Metal Cooler in Movie 6.
And Gohan absorbed Buu could use Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack even after Goten and Trunks defused in his body.

Simply put, the fusion can use all of the techniques from the parts, but the opposite is not true.

Nope, since I believe a lot of those techniques may have something to do with magic and the benefit of having two ki powering one body. I can’t see Goten or Trunks individually using the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, nor can I see Gokuu or Vegeta using a technique like the Soul Punisher that is effectively magical or powerful enough to destroy the evil ki within someone without demolishing the body they’d been possessing (which is how I interpreted the move anyway; Janenba was defeated, but the Psyche-Oni returned to normal, alive and well).

It might be a similar case to why Goten and Trunks can't use SSJ2 and SSJ3. These techniques would drain too much energy of individual fusees. Maybe if they got a lot stronger, then they might pull off their fusion techniques.

I guess Buu using the Super Ghost Kamikaze after Gotenks diffused was just a result of Buu's magic?Piccolo Daimao wrote:Nope, since I believe a lot of those techniques may have something to do with magic and the benefit of having two ki powering one body. ^Either that, or it might be case of Super Buu's sheer advantage in power over SSJ3 Gotenks at that point as well. Or mix of both, who knows?
Re: Can fusees use their fusions' moves?
I don't believe they can. Gotenks seemed to come up with a couple of pretty unique moves that I doubt anyone else could learn just by watching. It's probably as a result of the unique mindset of the resultant fusion.

Re: Can fusees use their fusions' moves?
I can agree with Super Ghost KamiKaze Attack and Soul Punisher Being exclusive to the respective fusion not just because its a magic trick of some sort but the techniques seem to be extremely complex.
Gotenks creates a living bomb with its own personality that can seemingly continue to live just as long as it doesn't touch anything. Its kinda like Tenshinhan's body split technique.
Gogeta creates a ball of what appears to be pure energy thats strong enough to unmake Janemba who is comprised of eons of negative energy. Its similar to the Genki Dama.
I believe the Z fighters can learn magic tricks seeing as how the fusion dance is a magic trick in itself and Goku being a mind reader on Namek.
The Ki Sword however doesn't seem all that complicated seeing as how Krillin, Freeza and Vegeta can create razor sharp spinning disc that would seemingly kill anyone with no regenerative abilities.

It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Nah, I don't think so. One might even suspect that Gogeta and Gotenks' special moves (The "Stardust Breaker" and Kamikaze Ghosts respectively) are partially magical in nature, and only able to be performed by a partially-magical being like a Fusion.

Yes, this is Majin Boo we're talking about here, who can copy almost any technique. So it's safe to say that, even though Gotenks technically isn't absorbed him anymore, he just remembered the attack.mysticboy wrote:I guess Buu using the Super Ghost Kamikaze after Gotenks diffused was just a result of Buu's magic?Piccolo Daimao wrote:Nope, since I believe a lot of those techniques may have something to do with magic and the benefit of having two ki powering one body.
