How to Rip US Dragon Box Footage for AMV...?

Post by DBZfan29 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 3:26 pm

I've got a cool idea for an AMV that I think a lot of people might like, but DVD Decrypter says there's some kind of error when I try to rip the VOB files. I've had no problem with ripping my Dragon Box movie single and Bardock/Trunks Jump DVD, so it's something specific to FUNimation's Dragon Box. Anyone know how to rip the footage? I usually go with DVD Decrypter then AutoGK, but that won't work this time.

Also, DVD Decrypter detects multiple VTS_## and PGC # files for the Dragon Box discs. This is confusing because one VTS section will have three PGC files that are, for example, 2:30, 3:00, 2:45 long. They're all around the same time, which really throws me off. Thanks for any replies!
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Rather than ripping the footage, you can simply record it with another program like VLC.

Much easier and less time consuming.

Does this produce the same quality as a rip?

Also, I use VLC to play just about everything. How do I record with it? Thanks.

I've never noticed much of a difference, if at all when I record footage from my DVD's for specific scenes and such with VLC.

I'm pretty sure it's SHIFT + R to record and stop recording.

The only way (that I know of) that can rip the FUNi Dragon Boxes is with DVDFab and you can even rip a section of chapters if you didn't want to rip the whole disc.

Here, this is much better.

I can't believe this is on-topic.
