We already had a Lucifer in DB movie 2.

The real Lucifer not some vampire demon who just happened to be named Lucifer.

nope. just put in parethisis that this lucifer is for this movie and the toher one is for movie 2. Its not uncommon that two people have the same name on a show, or someone names their kids after someone famous.

I don't think it matters since DB movie 2 came out years ago and DB movie 1-3 never seem to be that popular in the Dragon Ball online community. Dabra is the closet thing that Dragon Ball has to Satan given that he is the lord of Makai. Also Bojack is not even a demon.

To my knowledge Lucifer is a fallen angel and is basically the leader of Hell (The Devil).

Name wise Lucifer and Satan have been used.

The "Demon Plain" seems to be Dragon Ball's interpretation of what many real people believe Hell is. Hell in Dragon Ball is just the place bad souls go where they then wait to be cleansed and reincarnated.

What would Lucifer's purpose be? World Domination? yeah just ask DB's Lucifer, Pilaf, RRA, Daimao, Ma Junior, Garlic Jr and Sr, Slug, Dr. Uiro, and Baby.

They've all been there and done that or tried too for most.

shonenhikada, I think you need to realize that the lore of DB does not follow the same myths as in our reality. There's is "something" akin to the idea of Christianism (vampires and crosses) but Akira mostly borrows from an eastern source. The "lucifer" you refer too can't exist in DB because... "God created him and fell from grace". The question here would be: What god? Kami? Kaiosama? Grand Kaiosama? The Kaioshin? ??? :/

We don't need all of that crazy junk like fighting at FTL speed and solar system busters in Dragon Ball if you ask me since DB is fine how it is. I think having religious overtones in Dragon Ball would feel out of place as well.

No, we got Kami in the Piccolo Daimao arc, Kaio at Saiyan arc, and Kaioshin at Majin Boo arc. Dai Kaioshin was filler. And having angels & devils from Christianity in a freaking Japanese manga/anime, where the people are Buddhists makes zero sense. Let's bring Zeus & Odin in it too then!

Well we haven already established on the show demons,main villians that look like the devil, halos, many references in the anime with goku wearing angel wings. So it isn't much of a stretch to add angels and the devil, and perhaps a true god figure in the manga.

I think Shoenkikada is hoping for Dragon Ball to have some omniponent being similar to One Above All in Marvel Comics or Man of Miracles in Image Comics. I still think that Dragon Ball does not need any of these stuff and I would lose respect to Dragon Ball if they throw in cosmic crap like this. If they want this stuff then I would read or watch something else.

What Hellspawn said. I'd rather get something that fit with the Dragon Ball vibe (something can still fit while shaking things up though), and none of that stuff would really. That and, I almost don't even care what it is, so long as it's good. Would I be annoyed slightly if it was another Android or Saiyan or someone-from-Freeza's-race or Broly's return (I know, non-canon, just trying to cover all bases here), or anything like that? Sure I would. Would I still love the hell out of it if it was well done though? You bet.

So angels don't fit with the dragon ball vibes despite this picture seeming to fit into the dragon ball vibe ; yes i know its not in the manga.

We got to see them fight demons let see how they do against angels. Do you really want to sit through another movie where the villian is either a giant monster, demon, or android.

First off, that shot's not even from in an episode, it's from an ending theme. ...I think. I remember it in the ending of Legacy of Goku, and I believe it came from the last DBZ ending theme.

Secondly though, I meant that more in regards to these 'system busters' and 'reality warpers' and such. Cool ideas, sure, but they just don't feel like 'Dragon Ball' to me.

And as far as how demons work in Dragon Ball, I'd say that the Kaios and Kaioshin are the 'angels', so getting a Makaioshin or whatever it was from DBO, would be awesome as a villain.
