Re: The most beautiful shots from the anime
I'm impressed by many of these shots! For some of them, I didn't pay attention to how great they actually are until I saw the screencap instead of the moving scene!
Seeing the picture of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan crying tears which fly to the skies, I have to say it's probably my favorite artistic choice from the anime staff. I usually prefer the manga over the anime for 99% of the scenes because of the way Toriyama draws, with such a feel of dynamism and yet graphics that are always clear and classy, never clumsy. But this very shot of Gohan is the perfect example of when the anime actually makes it better than the original author (in my opinion, that is) and includes a concept that actually magnify the scene to make it (even more) legendary!
I like many shots I've seen in this thread! I find the "Vegeta ready to explode to kill Boo" shot very well done, it is very detailled and has the right emotional impact for this moment, with a great feel of achievement, of maturity for Vegeta through the way the picture is drawn. And I was surprised by the shot of Super Saiyan Goku ready to attack Freezer with Gohan watching: I never really payed attention to how this shot really looks like a still artwork for a poster, as Saiyajin no Tatsujin said.
Although sometimes anime graphics were a little off depending on who was drawing the episode, there are moments when the graphics are simply amazing. I remember the episode showcasing Trunks against Freezer as having amazing graphics, making Trunks very classy, and having beautiful shots. That made the next episode (or the next part of the same episode for Kai)... well, kind of a shock, when you compare them!!

Always thought this shot was beautiful. It's especially strong with the movie 3 chorus theme that plays:

"Kenshi is sitting down right now drawing his mutated spaghetti monsters thinking he's the shit..."--Neptune Kai
"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--final_flash

Re: The most beautiful shots from the anime
I've been planning for quite some time to watch the entire Dragon Ball series from start to finish and capture all those fantastic still shots. Unfortunately I still haven't found the time to do so, therefore I'm only posting a few of my absolute favourites
Some of them have already been posted, but all of these are directly sourced from the Japanese Dragon Boxes, so I guess it compensates. I'm also including a few different frames of the same shot because I feel the visual effects may please some but not all.
Gogeta stares at Janemba before eliminating him:

Son Goku bids Majin Boo farewell before launching the Genkidama:

Dragon Ball GT's fourth ending's final scene:
