Just got Dragon Ball Z Kai Collection 3 (Blu-Ray) in the mail! Contains Yamamoto music ;)

So for all the Americans wanting to get Collection 3, buy it from Australia, as it will have the original music :)

LC @ Isn't Australian media usually bloody overpriced?

Considering it's a Blu-ray it's even more.

The Australian releases are called 'Collections' rather than 'Parts' like the US.

Collection 1: 1-13
Collection 2: 14-26
Collection 3: 27-39

etc etc

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I was looking on Amazon at prices on DB Kai Part 4 Blu-ray and they were nearing the $90 mark, so I may have to wait for that one. If only I got them much earlier.

Correct. The overall Television Industry in some aspects including most anime being in a horrible state. (Madman really has no choice but to bring up price unfortunately)
Such as:
Dragon Ball Z Kai Blu-Ray (13 episodes) - Around $45US
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood DVD (13 Episodes) - Around $60US
Cardcaptor Sakura Season 1 (Sub-only)(35 Episodes) - Around $60US

As you can see, about 2/3s of anime licensed is pretty overpriced, and unfortunately Dragon Ball/Z/GT suffer from this.

Haven't bought anything Dragonball since Kai part 4(with Yamamoto). I got it after I met Sean Schemmel.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Just wondering, how much do you buy each single for, and where from? eBay (Aus) is usually sellers that overprice, and amazon has shipping prices that are more than the item itself if you ship to Australia,

I got 8 of the Frieza DVDs from Ebay USA for $US10.99 in a bulk sale, the Captain Ginyu release (US99c) and Kai Part 4 Blu-Ray ($US12.99) were both from separate Ebay sellers, and the rest I got my friend to buy through GoHastings, which is a second hand retail store in America for around 2 bucks each.

Plus I paid $US19 for the post to get them over to New Zealand (minus the Amaray cases to keep post cost down, but still including the covers). It worked out to be quite a lot, but I really wanted the original US music and the 4:3 aspect ratio. When/If the Blu-Rays ever get re-started, i'll probably still keep them as some of the dubbing has been changed over time.

I could have got the Frieza DVDs from Australia at around the same price, but the Australian editions didn't include the Japanese audio option, which while it wasn't my main point of buying them, I still wanted the option of having the Japanese subtitles (I like to watch the show in English, but with the Subs on so I can see what I might be missing).

So all around about $US60 total.. damn, more than I was really intending to spend lol.. price I have to pay to get them though. I've tried to trade some of my collectible Blu-Rays (Steelbooks, Steelcases etc etc) for DBZ DVDs, but have had no luck with that.

It is ? Cause postage for 5 Dragon Boxes was $10. I suppose the faster postage options cost more.

That's pretty damn good for Australia. To post 6 Dragon Boxes to NZ, Amazon wants USD 28.93 (which isn't bad considering the weight).

Out of curiosity, why the scattered discs from the Cell Games/Gt. Saiyaman Saga? Filling the holes in your collection?

Yeah mate, I still need 'Cell Games: Nightmares End', 'Trunks: Prelude to Terror' and three Kid Buu DVDs (Vegeta's Plea, Price of Victory, New Beginning) though.

Nothing super-surprising if you've been following along with me:

Image

September 2012 V-Jump
Wanted it for the DBGT/DQX poster, SSJ3 card, etc. As you may have heard on the podcast, now I don't want to rip any of them out :P.

Burst Limit (PS3)
I originally bought the game on 360 because I didn't have a PS3 at the time. Since it's a fighting game, I'd much rather play it on the PS3 controller. Found it nice and cheap (complete in great condition) on eBay this past week. Randomly in this black case, though. Whatever. I might actually do something with the game early next year, since my original 360 died shortly after getting the game... and I never finished it...

Legendary Super Warriors (GBC)
The main one that kicked off my recent "replace what you don't already have in complete condition". Previously only had the cart. Perfect condition even with all the extra paper inserts that it originally came with.

Dragon Power (NES)
My second recent "I only had this as a cartridge" replacement. Amazing condition considering its age. Complete with the manual, too!

I think that's it... most of my other recent acquisitions have been more of my general Game Boy catalog flesh-out quest. Speaking of quest, recently got in DQ I+II on GBC. That's sorta like DB...!
