Filming a television screen is like wiping your butt with toilet paper still in the wrapper. This is 2012. Capture devices are less than $10. Effort. People. C'mon.

What if he doesn't feel like paying money just to film a few 10-30 second clips?

Yeah, especially if you have a camera which can get to the point just as well.

I'm watching the episode where Trunks kills Freeza. The way they edited his death was hilarious.

I've got it DVR'd. I think I'll have a good DB-related laugh tonight. And I'll make fun of the terribly punny promos, that are borderline mental.

How did they edit it? Was it the same as the Nicktoons version?

It was the same, except they made the smoke sparkly and added groans to the dead bodies.

For what it's worth the sparkles and groans were to be expected considering the standards they had to follow, but other than those things they actually left the scene alone when compared to the NT version? That's a surprise but hey i'm not complaining too much, at least the Vortexx didn't do more damage than they had to for once, I hope to see the scene on youtube so I can see the sparkles and hear Frieza's groaning, I bet it was hillarious.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Man, CW really does not have their priorities straight. Whenever a character dies in an explosion, they change the smoke cloud to make it fairy like (because that's totally so much better than dirt), replace any mentions of death with "other world" and turn swollen eyes into actual swollen eyes. But it's okay to show a character getting cut in multiple pieces?

I think it was more of an issue of someone's remains being scattered in a graphic manner. Notice how it was the "chunks" of Frieza that were turned sparkly.

Freeza is never shown being sliced on screen. It's all off screen in the Vortexx version. I am surprised they left the shot of his face splitting in half.

Thanks gmster I can't believe that other than the added sparkles on the smoke they actually left the scene completely intact compared to the NT version.

The music is silenced in the uncut version, albeit with better timing (though, I still don't particularly like that silence).
