Daizenshuu 4's Racial Groups section. It's actually part of a two-page spread showing Babidi and his minions.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Where is that from?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:

I see. So, it seems that Pure Evil Boo is pink it the manga after all.

Possibly, but it is using the limited pallet colors. I mean, Fat Buu's normally-purple cape is also pink in that picture, so who knows?

It's not the limited colors of Pure Evil Boo that make him pink, but the fact that he has the exact same colors with Innocent/Good/Mr. Boo.

UPDATE : BABA / BLUE / MAJIN BOO (EVIL LEFTOVER)
CORRECTED: BABIDI
CORRECTED: BABIDI
There are definately a lot of mysteries left for me to discover, since I've never seen the original Dragon Ball anime and Dragon Ball Z goes way back to my early childhood, as it was forbidden on TV before I even became a teenager. So lots of fillers are still unknown to me, thanks for giving me a glimpse of the "Evil Kinto-Un"! It allows bad persons to climb on it, but I wonder if it also forbids good people from climbing it, thus truly being the complete opposite of the regular Kinto-Un...Godo wrote:Cold Skin wrote: Not knowing much about the fillers in the original series, I didn't even know there was an "evil Kinto-Un". Maybe the anime staff chose to base it on the manga purple version for Kinto-Un, since it was unused in the anime...

But so are the lines on his jacket, and his belt buckle. In full color, wouldn't they be the same as his gloves and boots, which are grey in this image?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:It's not the limited colors of Pure Evil Boo that make him pink, but the fact that he has the exact same colors with Innocent/Good/Mr. Boo.
I'm not saying he isn't intended to be pink. There's a good chance that he is. I just can't say I'm 100% sure of that from this image, and that's just something worth keeping in mind.

UPDATE: RADITZ / SON GOKU (ORIGINS) / TRUNKS (ALTERNATIVE FUTURE)
It is all based on logic: since this illustration is all made of pink and grey, if Evil Boo was to be grey, they would have been able to show it.
Instead, they show all Majin Boo has being in a same continuity. And when we think about it, it seems logical: the form called "Super Boo" is just Evil Boo having absorbed someone and having a better body structure, but likely retaining the same caracteristics all through his absorptions (the eyes, the skin...), but fat or skinny, there is no reason why he shouldn't be pink, his color doesn't change when he absorbs someone after that.
However, you are perfectly right when you say we can't be 100% sure, that's why it stays a "guess": no fully-colored picture, no ultimate proof.
So we'll just put the picture there because it seems convincing enough and logical, it's almost sure, but as you said, the fact that it's not totally certain is "something worth keeping in mind", so I find it necessary to qualify this kind of picture (like Bra and Gogeta) as a "Guess", even when it all seems logical.

You're right, this is not in full color and that's why we'll keep the "update status" as a guess.Bussani wrote:But so are the lines on his jacket, and his belt buckle. As much as I love Gokuu's original Gi, I do love his new one a lot more. You'd think that brown and black would be boring but for some reason it doesn't.

Love it too. That's the kind of picture that makes me think "why don't they do an ultimate version of the anime asking Toriyama for his ultimate colors?".Insertclevername wrote:As much as I love Gokuu's original Gi, I do love his new one a lot more. You're right, it's not totally black, cause we can see the difference with the hair.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Kanzenban 34 definitely has Buu Arc Vegeta still in blue:Cold Skin wrote:VEGETA (MAJIN BOO SAGA):

There's just a hint of blue, I'll work on adding that. But I'm afraid it will be subtle enough to not be spotted by many people, like Kid Goku's wrists which have just a hint of blue, but I'm pretty sure it will still seem black after all. The sample square in your picture seems gray/black to me, the only thing really telling me it's blue is the gradient next to the selected spot!
We can't put more than just a hint of blue, because the color is actually closer to gray/black than blue. If you compare Goku's dark-blue under-clothes on the very same cover with Vegeta's clothes, Vegeta's is much darker, it's actually darker than already-dark blue. It's even more striking if you check back the first cover of the Boo era: Vegeta's outfit is extremely close to Krilin's black T-shirt, much more than to Goku's dark-blue under-clothes once more.
So I'll add this little hint of blue, but I'm not sure the difference will be striking.
To have confirmation that Vegeta's outfit is supposed to be different in the Boo era, you can compare those two covers to the previous covers of Vegeta, his clothes being clearly blue. The man didn't just removed his armor, he changed the whole suit in the Kanzenban after the battle against Cell!
I'll update Vegeta to very-very-dark blue as soon as I can, thanks for pointing this out, cause I didn't pay attention to the fact that it wasn't entirely black like the hair!

Re: Pictures color-corrected to fit the last manga updates
I didn't exactly sit there and look for the spot that was more blue than gray, the selected color was just to show it's in the blue range. Granted, it's definitely not as vibrant as Goku's blue undershirt anymore, being much darker and subdued than previous versions. But if you zoom out and look at the outfit instead of just using one pixel from the image (which there are at least a 30-40 different shades in just the area I picked from), you can tell it's definitely intedned to be like a slightly gray tinted navy blue and not actually gray/black when you compare it to Goku's hair and its shading or Kuririn's belt.
So, if you do it right, it'll make a BIG difference.

Re: Pictures color-corrected to fit the last manga updates
Not sure if it's relevant, but originally Boo arc Vegeta's costume isn't made of two parts. That's something Toei did.

Re: Pictures color-corrected to fit the last manga updates
It is relevant indeed, and that's something that tickled me too when I was editing the picture!hleV wrote:Not sure if it's relevant, but originally Boo arc Vegeta's costume isn't made of two parts. That's something Toei did.
See, originally those renders come from the "character project" on this forum, and all models are based on the anime version.
And that means not only colors, but also in slight appearance changes.
The recolored picture I show is inspired by the Kanzenban, and Toriyama has altered the color, but still has this way of having Vegeta's outfit as one part in the Kanzenban.
Unfortunately, I'm not skilled enough to properly remove that separation.
But at least, I can specify it in the description thanks to you, I'll go update the description right now!

Re: Pictures color-corrected to fit the last manga updates
Hmm, I've always thought that Cell arc Gohan's wristbands were supposed to be red (as proven by a Kanzenban cover). It looked somewhat weird him having blue wristbands and red belt.
I'd like to contribute to this idea as well, but there aren't working download links for all of DBCProject's renders.

Re: Pictures color-corrected to fit the last manga updates
You don't have to use the renders for the Dragon Ball projects, I made this thread so that anyone could post recolored pictures of any picture in the franchise: screencaps from the episodes, from the opening and ending, or eyecatches, but also book covers and DVD covers, promotional artwork, wallpapers... Feel free to recolor and post any picture you feel like recoloring to match the latest updates of the manga (whether they come from the original manga, Daizenshuu, recent digital manga or Kanzenban covers)!hleV wrote:Hmm, I've always thought that Cell arc Gohan's wristbands were supposed to be red (as proven by a Kanzenban cover). I just update my first post to make it more complete with the character renders, instead of spreading the same exact continuation of those recolored renders in other posts, but I may eventually post other kinds of recolored pictures in other posts as well, and everybody is free to do the same!
