I honestly think there is no possible way Vegeta would take on a student, he would want to make sure no one could possible be stronger them him, so he wouldn't take a student.
Unless he knew they couldn't become stronger them him.

I can imagine if he needed to train someone if he was under a circumstance. Similar to Piccolo training Gohan.
