No ignorance whatsoever. Majority of the general public misconceive the notion of a film/project's budget. Essentially, the more experience, the more resources. The more resources, the less money wasted.
Kickstarter & IndieGoGo are great for the community but people have taken advantage of their system and because there is no legal action taken, it continues. It's a shame but there's always a rotten apple in the tree.
I think deep down K&K knows they have "piggy-backed" off of a well-known property but are hiding from it. Fortunately for the industry and karma, there is little hiding from an amateur result.

Agreed, it is a shame that Kickstarter and Indigogo are being abused. I kind of hope these guys get a rude awakening for their mismanagement, but I guess the quality of the final project will determine that. At least this isn't another Cheetahmen 2 scandal.

For those of you wondering, like I was, about Nappa's lack of mustache they've answered why along with the answers to other questions in their new Facebook FAQ....
1. Is this a movie or a trailer?
Answer: It's a 5 minute extended trailer showcasing the best moments from the Saiyan Saga.
2. Where is Nappa's moustache?
Answer: Obviously we tried the moustache, but it didnt suit a realistic DBZ video. It made the actor look a little camp. We are trying to make Nappa look as scary as possible and an 80's style tash didn't really put that image across.
3. Do they have tails.
Answer: Yes they do. If you watch the trailer you can see them around thier waste.
4. Why isnt their a bigger height diffence between Nappa and Vegeta?
Answer: The actor playing Nappa is 6ft 5 and the actor playing Vegeta is 5ft 9. So there is a big height difference. But Vegeats 1ft hair evens them out
5. Why arent you doing a full movie?
Answer: We would love to do a movie, but it would require millions of dollars. Plus at the moment we cant pay ourselves for any DBZ content as we do own the rights. So we need to complete the trailer and then if it is a sucess, we will take it to some production companies and try and get some funding for a web series or to try and make a movie
I don't like Vegeta much. He spends most of the series as a whiny bitch.
I love that typo.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

What do they mean a mustache is campy? Nappa's mustache is about the only realistic thing in that whole saga!

...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

To be honest, the mustache defined his look. Without it, he's just kind of generic, on top of the already borderline stock design he has.

At first I was annoyed about Nappa's mustache as well but after reading their answer and thinking about what the actor would have looked like with one I tend to agree with them that it'd look a little ridiculous.
I wouldn't say that the mustache is what defines Nappa's look either. Now if they'd given him hair or made him a slim guy that'd be a whole different story...

I can't believe that everyone's being so gung-ho about Nappa not having a mustache. No one seems to complain that Vegeta has some scruff.. I guess whatever grinds your teeth.

They should have released a photo of the actor WITH a mustache during prep to the public to gauge a reaction. The public paid for this.
And I can't believe Vegeta has stubble like that. Any make-up artist would have knocked that out first thing. Just amateur mistakes again. yuck.

Do you guys think it was intentional or incompetence? Personally, the scruff doesn't bother me so much, it's too subtle, where as the mustache is more of a noticeable trait.

It's a little bit of both. Maybe the guy doesn't look good in a mustache, I don't know their thought process. However to cast it off as campy seems weird to me. To me that sounds like more BS then if they were to say, "we tried it, he didn't look good in it." However the mustache(and I guess the stubble) are just the icing on the cake of face palms. The thing that bothers me the most is this is other peoples money, and in my eyes they've been kind of careless with it. Honestly I'd be upset if I gave them money for this.

I've watched the teaser several times and never noticed Vegeta's stubble until it was pointed out. Even when I noticed it after it was pointed out to me I actually like it. I don't know whether there was a creative decision for him to have stubble but I think it fits within his character to make him look a little bit rougher.
Looks you could make everything exactly like the anime but any live action adaptation, and I stress adaptation won't and shouldn't be exactly like the anime. There will always be certain things that don't work in live action well, have to be changed due to time constraints and of course the artistic opinion of those involved.
I seriously hope that as a result of their efforts that their is renewed interest in a live action movie, that will actually respect the source material.
You can knock these guys about how they've gone about it (and perhaps justifiably) but I do appreciate and respect the lengths they've gone to and the effort to give the fans something great. They clearly have far more respect for the source material than Fox and their movie ever did.

What I like so far:
-Vegeta's tight blue clothes (as opposed to the baggy pants in the previous design)
-Scouter
-Vegeta's hair
-The general look of the new armors
-The looks of Yamcha and Krilin
What I don't like so far:
-Vegeta's stubble. They could have shaved him better or conceal it and leave that stubble for Nappa.
-Saiyans' boots
-Nappa's baggy pants. If he didn't look good wearing just a speedo, at least they could have gave him tights.
-The stomach and shoulder parts of the armors. They look cheap like made of fabric and stuck with glue, and don't match with the rest of the armors.
-Piccolo's color (green is too dark), the pink parts of his arms, and the red wristbands, which look like fabric wristbands instead of a part of his body.
-Goku's "boots".

The teaser looked funny. Looking forward to watch the whole thing, or just the comical parts.

No mustache for Nappa, because it would look campy and wouldn't fit in a realistic DBZ video.....Is something I'd be able to concede to if I hadn't seen the final armors yet.....and if it wasn't a DBZ video.
That's almost as ridiculously hilarious as them spending money on making Kuririn bald instead of shaving the actor's head bald.

I'm surprised the person who started this didn't use kickstarter.
EDIT: Then I saw this...
