Australian stuff tends to be expensive for some reason so they would be better at importing from Europe via Zavvi/TheHut or Amazon, etc.
The game came out first in English. In this case, would the Japanese version be the dub?

Possibly. However, the game was being programmed in Japan and had an original Japanese script written for it. We know that Daimao was doing the translations for 2 & 3 ahead of its release in North America (can't speak for the first game, since someone else translated it... but it was probably the same situation), so I'd still consider it "Japanese" with an English dub.

Just because it came after it doesn't mean it's a dub. The original country of Dragon Ball is Japan not America, or some Western country so for this matter Japanese stands as the authentic.

SpongeBob SquarePants original audio is English whereas Japanese is a dub.

The country of origin doesn't really play much of a part when classifying something as a dub. If a Dragon Ball game made in the US and was originally created with Funimations cast in mind, then if the Japanese got it with the original cast, then that cast would have dubbed it. Replacing the dialogue in order to localize a product, despite it's original origin, is dubbing.

Would be interesting if it only had English dub, since the Australian release on PS2 only had Japanese, if I remember correctly.

Correct. Funny thing about that Budokai was my Introduction to the world of DBZ. So my introduction to DBZ was the Japanese track yet I had never watched the series in Japanese until I got my Dragon Boxes a couple months ago.

List of all achievements + trophies of the game: http://www.uk.namcobandaigames.eu/downl ... ement-list

"Earn All Achievements" is only worth 65 GamerScore, Namco Bandai should've given this one a 100 GS.

Source: https://www.facebook.com/DBZ.videogames

Anyway, the pictures used look really cool and I wish they'd have an unlockable Gamer Picture hidden somewhere in-game.

What does it matter? Once you have all the achievements in the game you'll have the full 1000 points anyways. It's stupid when developers keep the platinum trophy in 360 versions of the game, it's completely pointless because the achievements system doesn't work that way. It's a really good sign of laziness on the developers' part.

Finding the alternate scenarios in both games could have been an achievement, as well as unlocking all skills.

Whoa, VegettoEX has a new avy?!

Why would anyone be surprised if Budokai 1 was dub-only? These are probably straight ports (widescreen support and de-Yamamotoifying excluded) of the original US versions. Shit like this only serves as cheap cash ins.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I think Budokai 1 will also be running at 60 fps too, something all fighters should be doing these days. Budokai 3 will definitely be running at 60 fps but I can't remember if Budokai 1 was also said to be stepping to 60 fps. If somebody could provide a reference if they also might have seen this then it would be much obliged.

Which is why they should've included an online mode.

IGN posted this off-screen gameplay video from NYCC 2012.

Still not a video where the music can be heard clearly and smoothly.

Try to listen to it with headphones on. This one can actually be easily heard. It's either from Raging Blast 2 or Ultimate Tenkaichi, I can't remember. Either way...not looking forward to this much. Can't believe I'm gonna get it

Wow, that was the most repetitive crap I've ever heard for fighting game music. There's really no point to buying this if you already have them. No new dub and replacement soundtrack.

RB2... BT2?

Hopefully they'll place the music properly on where it fits.

Oh, right, it was replaced. Then it was probably from Ultimate Tenkaichi, since I don't have Raging Blast 2 with the BT2 soundtrack.

Does anyone know if this game will have Trophies for the PS3?
