Can you put up screenshots of Freeza and the other things you can get with the Action Replay?

Screw the Greatest Hits edition; I'm just going to save up money and get a mod card and the Japanese version. Sure, it'll cost out the butt, but it's infinitely better.

Hopefully, there are codes that will work with the ARMAX. As far as I know, they don't even sell anything older than that.

I'm surprised you're saying that considering how awesome the Greatest Hits release really is, and not counting the vocal opening still not being there, it's a direct port of the European Collectors' Edition. If you were to play it for more than 2 minutes, you'd realize that it's more gold than the Japanese version is.

I think Conan loves his Japanese to be translated so much that he prefers the Greatest Hits version to the Japanese version. Personally, I like to have the Japanese audio and text translation, but maybe not at the expense of Japan's extra's for the game. I'm not sure which one I'd prefer, as I haven't experienced both. (Off topic: my 100th post! :D )

Well, needless to say the extra Baba movies aren't a big deal to me (well, Baba Movies 000 and 001 now fashion the Japanese DBZ 2 logo rather than Budokai 2's, that's pretty cool), and if I wanna hear the Japanese vocal opening, I'll simply turn to my download from EX's main page. Having literally all of the other game extras, English text translated, the Japanese VAs, and the Japanese cast being credited in the ending sequence in full English, makes this release more worth it to me than the Japanese release. That's just me though. C'mon, Alchemist Ed/Son_Gokou, you know you love it. 8)

Well, I already have the original American release of Budokai 3, so if I had the Japanese version, if I wanted to play in one language, I'd just play that one. And besides, as a collector, I'd probably get the Greatest Hits version later on down the line, probably on the cheap. As soon as I get a good paying job, though, I'm getting a Mod Card and Dragon Ball Z 3. My whole reasoning of obtaining the Japanese version would be solely to play with those hidden skins!

Well, the Greatest Hits release has those hidden skins, and it's available for only $20. It's just a matter of finding the correct version, and GH Budokai 3 doesn't have any audio glitches like Budokai Tenkaichi, you can load the game without having to turn the Japanese voices off and back on. Like I've said a few times already, the only thing the GH release doesn't contain are the extra Baba movies and the Japanese vocal opening. Everything else, there for the taking, just English translated.

In Japan, on Amazon.co.jp? I don't see why you and The S want the Japanese release over the Greatest Hits release when the GH release has everything the Japanese version does, and English translated. This obviously includes the extra skins, Japanese VAs, graphic enhancements, as well as the Japanese VAs being respectably credited in the ending sequence. The extra Baba movies and Japanese vocal opening aren't tempting enough to choose a game I can't understand over a game that I can understand, and is more respectful to the Japanese cast than Budokai Tenkaichi's audio glitches and ending credit sequence.

(laughs) perhaps they like their manual in Japanese? :D
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

Could you put up some pictures please?

Conan the SSJ wrote:I've heard about that, Ace. There's actually pics of those skins here, from the DBZ Ps2 game forum. That's insane considering we all thought only Bulma and hovercraft Freeza were the only unfinished skins. I thought getting Piccolo Daimao in the greatest hits version is something, but knowing you can fight as a super ghost and as Babidi, I'm flabbergasted! It's insane, but I'm more than content with my greatest hits release, I have all I need, and I doubt any Ps3 DBZ game can surpass it. :D

The extra skins I reference are the ones this topic is about (I.E. Babidi, Kabito, Kamikaze Ghosts, Ginyu/Gokuu, et cetera. Are you telling me these are in the Greatest Hits version? Because if so, than I definately will get the Greatest Hits version instead.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think those extra skins are in the GH version.

I was referring to the Piccolo Daimao, Halo Goku, and Armor Trunks skins we all know about already. That's what I thought you were talking about at first, S. Regarding the unfinished skins playable with Action Replay codes, I have no idea if those can be attained in the EU Collectors' Edition or the NA Greatest Hits release. Personally, I don't feel the need for unfinished skins that can't be acquired through regular playing of the game. The only time I needed a cheat code was for Budokai 2, and that wasn't even using a Replay card.

Well, I like doing strange things that you're not necessarily supposed to be doing, like playing as Monster in Mortal Kombat Deception, the Tekken Force in Tekken 3, or messing in the debug menus in Final Fantasy VII. These skins fall into the same category.

I was skimming over the rumors section and I came upon this

"The first person to get this far seems to have been dsxgate of the GameFAQs Budokai 3 forum. dsxgate claimed that they were not entirely sure of the process, but it seemed to involve a combination of Action Replay codes (mostly involving free capsules in the shop) and complete 100% unlocking of every single last thing in the game (including all level 99 "Dragon Universe" characters). Others have claimed similar results with similar requisites, but only dsxgate actually provided two movie clips to show this."

Does anyone know where I can find these videos :?: ?

I don't know if the videos are still around. I looked in the old updates off the main site.

http://www.daizex.com/old_updates/updates-2005_02.shtml

Scroll down to find Bulma. The link to the Gamefaqs topic is dead (this is over a year old now). I don't know if the movie link that was in that topic is still around though.
