Let's just cut to the chase and have Scarz take over.

Under those circumstances I'd imagine The Pact will be fulfilled over and over and over again.

Oh, really? I must have misread those pages! I guess Ginyu is still lurking right?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Freeza decapitated Butta, but nothing implied Ginyu was in his body...Insertclevername wrote:But didn't he die? I'm almost certain Freeza blew his head up when he was in Butta's body.
*Edit* So I looked at the pages again and I didn't find anything about what I thought. I think I just assumed that was Nappa and Raditz's "plan". I might have just mixed up my theory with the ambiguity....it happens sometimes. lol
*Edit 2* I must have taken this as fact for some reason.

I hope Freeza didn't just kill him because of anger. Maybe he suspected him of being Ginyu.

I think Vegetto is acting evil of his own accord. The Universe 16 novelization shows parts of Vegetto's dark side multiple times. He has the urge to hurt/kill Pan just so Gohan will fight him with his full power.
Not that I agree with it. I think Vegetto's dark side should be practically non-existent since you have Goku in there and Vegeta sacrificed himself for his family as his last act. But Salagir apparently has something else in mind.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I think It would be a bad idea to make him have an evil side and/or become evil on his own. (like out of boredom or just a negative fusion effect, or something) I hope it's someone's doing that makes him evil, and even that is pretty extreme, since there should barely be anyone who could do something like that to Vegetto. (I don't believe things like Ginyu's special ability can affect Vegetto)
But we still didn't see much except that short part from Bardock's vision so until then things can happen that could make it work.

I found the comment by Salagir: http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en ... er-18.html
I won't particularly say that one is dominating the other in a fusion.
Although a bigger character could be more seen in the result. Old kaioshin talks of the witch he fused with at the third person. And of his old self at the first person.
What I will say, is I've always seen Vegeta as evil, even in the Buu saga. It's only after he accepted that Gokû was number one, that vegeta truly began his way to "not evil". Bulma and Trunks had almost no role in that. He was just trying, but remained evil and ready to sell his soul to any guy walking around for a fight that would destroy the universe.
Vegetto contains this evil vegeta.

Well, yes, but I'd like to refer to it as someone else just finishing it.Kingdom Heartless wrote:A fan-comic fan-comic?I'm actually thinking the opposite. I would rather have it not finished than rushed, because in that case somebody else could continue it.

You could argue he does it out of some physiological disorder he develop after being basically God for 20 years.Saiga wrote:Whoa, that is so out of character.Storm101 wrote:I think Vegetto is acting evil of his own accord. I don't see why that would drive anyone insane. Goku got bored from not having challenges and he didn't turn evil.Insertclevername wrote:

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
True, but he is a mix of both Gokuu and Vegeta, so perhaps some traits from both conjure up some really bad negatives. Like Gokuu only feels slightly disappointing that he lacks a challenge, while Vegeta would feel really pissed if he lacked one (he always had a goal because of Gokuu). Maybe they both amplify? So, yeah, Vegetto could be some insane weirdo inside because he's comprised of two personalities that were never supposed to blend. Or were they!?!Saiga wrote:I don't see why that would drive anyone insane. Goku got bored from not having challenges and he didn't turn evil.Insertclevername wrote:

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
It just sounds waaaay too cynical for Dragon Ball, which has historically been a story in which power does not corrupt. Just because Goku and Vegeta like to fight doesn't mean they actively go looking for trouble. Goku has always been peaceful and all of Vegeta's transgressions have been for the purpose of completing specific goals as opposed to just looking for a fight. In a story where an overwhelming number of bad guys become good guys specifically because of Goku, Vegetto going nutso on his own volition sounds completely clownshit to me. It's an issue of degree. Goading Gohan into a fight? Sure, I can buy that. Considering hurting Pan to force him into it? No way in hell.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Power corrupting Gohan to an extent led to Goku's death in the Cell games. Not saying it makes Vegetto going insane logical, but to say it's "historically been a story in which power does not corrupt" is not something I entirely agree with.

Oh, by no way do I think this is great stuff or anything, I'm just shootin' the shit and trying to see Saligar's reasoning. It totally doesn't sound like Dragon Ball, but hey, maybe that's what he's aiming for.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Gohan wasn't corrupted by power, he was just really pissed off beyond rational thought. After so many years of abuse that was the last straw. But, yeah, regardless of whether or not power corrupts, I think Vegetto wanting a good fight is one thing but considering doing legitimate harm to get it just sounds too much like bad fanfiction.

I just started reading this thing yesterday, and I completed 2/3s of it. I think it was way better than I expected, but I'm a bit suspicious about the popularity of this thing. I tend to love things until I read criticisms about them, and then I agree wholeheartedly with the criticisms.

Honestly, despite probably having to hand in my man card for saying so, I'd be disappointed if the comic started having a lot of nudity and stuff. It would just be unnecessary.
The only way I'd find it acceptable is if a character who is nervous happened across Bra in the shower, since it would be a nice throw-back.
