Oh, and he says he's definitely working on Dragon Ball You Betcha, Eh.

I got a picture with him, but Don Brown and Ted Cole jumped me in the parking lot and smashed my cell phone. I even dropped my copy of Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, colored edition. Luckily, Brad Swaile come to my rescue. We both went to Pizza Pizza, then back to his place for some Moslon Golden and a Degrassi marathon.

Just wanted to keep you guys updated.
Original Degrassi or Next Generation? These are the important questions.

penguintruth wrote:Oh hey, I ran into Scott McNeil at the grocery store. Totally did.

He said that they're definitely working on the DBZ Kai dub and that Funimation would distribute it as Special Canadian Edition, with a big maple leaf on Goku's gi in place of his usual insignia.

Only they're calling it DRAGON BALL YOU BETCHA, EH.

Then Paul and Michael Dobson joined us at a Tim Horton's and we acted out our favorite SCTV sketches. Later Terry Klassen joined us at a stripclub and we prank called Peter Kelamis, pretending to be his agent with a role for him.

Never did get those groceries. Really needed those bags of milk.

To be sarcastic. He wants to say that there is no proof that Attitudefan really met Brian Drummond and everyone can randomly say the same kind of things. I do think there should be some kind of proof, but penguintruth is a bit too cynical here.

Aren't kilograms (+ metric system in general) the system used in Canada or are you just more accustomed to the Imperial system of US?
It's strange here in Canada. Weighing ourselves and using weights is measured using the imperial system. The metric system is used in mathematical practices. So, we use both! :D

It's a shame if you don't believe me because I know who I talked to. He must live near where I live. If you want to pretend it never happened then that's your loss not mine. It`s a shame these days that you can not take someone`s word for truth. Nope, everyone is a liar.

Tell me again why it is our loss? You seem to defend yourself quite a bit... >.> Guess what, I saw Lou Ferrigno in Las Vegas last week in one of the shops at Mandalay Bay, your loss if you don't believe me! People meet celebrities all the time, not really a big deal. However it is highly likely for people to lie about said situations when they say things like "zomg they're still working on this or that! he like toldz me so guyz1 If you dont believe me, your loss!111ones11!!"

And hey, this is the internet, you can't possibly be surprised if people don't take your or anyone else's word on anything.

I believe Attitudefan. If he was lying, he woulda been all like "yeah!!! i met Brian Drummond and he has confirmed he will be reprising the role of Vegeta and blah blah blah". Obviously, he hasn't said that and has even acknowledged Brian Drummond hasn't confirmed on anything of that sort. Don't forget Brian Drummond lives in Vancouver so no surprise if he bumped into Mr. Drummond there. My point is, he didn't exaggerate his side of the truth.

a lot of film productions happen in the big Canadian cities so don't be surprised if someone meets a celebrity by chance. Heck, I bumped onto the set of "Nikita" and met Maggie Q last winter, just outside the intersections of Adelaide Street East and Toronto Street. I've even met folks like Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day and Guillermo del Toro but those don't really count (per se) cuz I see them at work. (I never did get to meet Ron Perlman. I missed out when he popped up on the set one day. )
The world is your's.

I understand why you would not believe me but I did talk to him, twice.

It's not like these people live in some secret place away from society.

I just try to recount exactly what happens and I'm usually excited after talking to him. I was hoping you guys would be a little more accepting as I thought this forum was at higher standards than many parts of the net. I am actually quite surprised on how many are accusing me of lying! Honestly, I'm shocked.

Maybe I should have known better.

I don't see any reason to not believe it... it's not as if Brian Drummond is even that big that he wouldn't go to regular places. Heck, I'd be surprised if he were recognized much in public at all.

Well, I was the only one to recognize him. Haha, at first I think he was surprised that someone recognized him.

Well, he's a voice actor, I don't think many people actually know what any voice actors look like, unless they've also seen them in full acting roles before.

Exactly. That's why at first I was unsure of if it was him. I really only seen pictures and short videos of him.

Well, considering Brian Drummond was one of the principal actors on DBZ, whether you like the English dub or not, he's meeting someone associated with the Dragon Ball franchise and just wanted to share it to people here. People don't need to be asses or trolls with cries of "Pics or it didn't happen!" to validate someone's excitement about a chance encounter.

For the cynics, it's quite possible to randomly run into someone in Vancouver as there is a fair amount of film and television production in the area, so whether you happen to be in the area where some location shooting is taking place, or you run into them at the gym/restaurant, it is just as likely to happen as it would be to run into celebrities in Los Angeles. My dad ran into Mattias Ohlund while shopping with my mom a number of years ago, did it "never happen" because they didn't take a picture?

Thank You! I was super excited and wanted to recount everything before it left my memory!

I was sure I wouldn't see him again but I did, and I was surprised. He lives around me but I'm not exactly sure where but I have an idea.

But yes, the problem is these days that picture taking has become something rather intrusive and overused in everyday life. Anyways, I don't bring my cell to the gym as it could get damaged. I live so close so it's pointless to bring it. I didn't expect he'd be there nor would I want to be invasive in his personal life. I came on here to try to get updates on Kai and I told you what he told me (not word for word but close enough).
