I don't see why people go along with this type of logic. HD Collections are great for the developers because they can use them to test the water and see if anybody is still interested in the style of the game. If the collection does well then we could possibly see a new Budokai, or Infinite World, pop up from Dimps because of the HD collections success. The same thing is supposed to be happening with the Jak & Daxter franchise, the HD collection apparently sold really well so there has been information circulating that we may be seeing a Jak & Daxter reboot in the near future.SaiyanZ wrote:No Budokai 2, no Kenji Yamamoto OST and more importantly, NO ONLINE = NO BUY. Still though, its come to make me realize that all these HD Collections aren't really worth it in the end :/ Unless you haven't played or owned them originally.
I myself have bought the HD collection on both the PS3 and 360 in support of Dimps in the hope that they will see enough sales for NamcoBandai to consider publishing a new game from them. Hopefully with a fully working online mode and the beautiful character and stage design we have seen from Dimps with their last game. If they do make a new game I really hope they don't toy around with the ki system again. Budokai 3 and Infinite World both did it right, so why try fixing it? It was different from other traditional fighters and it created a sort of meta game based around ki management.
