O...kay...why does Tapion need to be flown into the ring? That's kind of odd. Very curious to see why though.
I'm happy to see the badass master Kuririn on the scene again, but I get the sinking feeling this special is just about to end isn't it. So...his awesome fight won't be in Gogeta Jr.'s art probably.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Seems like "Master Krillin" will need to take off the shell here (of course, it's the one made of the densest metal in the universe, isn't it? so that's bound to be absurdly heavy even in normal gravity.) Tapion though... poor guy can't stand up even without all that extra weight. I guess he can't fly, either? I can't remember if he ever actually flew in the movie or just walked/ran/jumped everywhere, so that might not be out of the ordinary for him.
Why's the gravity so high now, anyway? Did they mention it at some point before that I just forgot about? I know this Krillin didn't have any difficulty with the gravity back when he made Cooler's goon (Salza? Sauza? I have seen so many different spellings of this guy's name) look like a joke before, so I guess something's changed since then.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm pretty sure he flew away from everyone pretty much right after being released in movie 13, didn't he? And I want to say I remember seeing him fly and land on a building before playing the ocarina later into the film.Pantalones wrote:Tapion though... poor guy can't stand up even without all that extra weight. At any rate, now that I've sat back and looked at the page again, I think it's going to be a 'mislead' for Tapion. He's probably going to be pretty badass (still halfway expecting him to have harnessed Hirudegarn's power from inside of him, pulling a Naruto basically), and this is trying to catch us off guard.

I think a special should be next. It would be cool to see how the humans stop Vegeta, Coola, Cell and Buu.

He's good at coloring pages. I wish he could recolor the original manga (why doesn't Shueisha publish a fully-colored version like the Pilaf arc they had done digitally?!).rereboy wrote:Homola Gabor has been turning every new page into color for a while now. i don't know if he will eventually do all the pages, but he has been doing all the new pages.Gonstead wrote:Great, now I'm wishing Multiverse was in colour.
Here is his deviantart: http://homolagabor.deviantart.com/
And, in this section, they post his colored pages: http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/hu ... e-626.html
How unfortunate that it's not possible, cause Multiverse is a free manga, but it would be illegal to give away recolored pages from the original manga...

I'm not sure it would work out so well anyway. If you're going to color something you more or less have to plan for it ahead of time because shading and lighting tend to be different depending on whether or not something is going to be colored later on. Look at comic book art that is just the ink and pencils before going to the colorist and compare it to a comic book that was actually released in black and white. They're not really the same.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I just noticed something on the site, right underneath that last page.
Uh...bwah? I know powers are all over the place for this comic, but I can't imagine that Tapion would be THAT weak, even if we never did really see him do anything in the movie. And if he's THAT weak, what's he even doing at the tournament in the first place?PS: Yes, Tapion can't fly, and can't bear a 100G gravity. He is a musicien, guys. He isn't stronger than Freeza, he isn't even stronger than Raditz. Yes, the DBZ Raditz.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
In Movie 13, Goku of all people commented that Tapion had an "awesome ki" when he first appeared. Granted, that line in and of itself is rather generic and not actually an indicator of power compared to anyone else, but still... weaker than Raditz?
Like someone already mentioned, if this is the case then I hope they're going to have Tapion pull a Naruto and be able to channel and "borrow" Hildegarn's power for battle.

What. The. Fuck. He is a fucking musician?! Post-Boo arc Goku commented that he had an amazing ki, and he was called as a brave warrior of his planet, he could even use ki-sword attacks in BT3, and now we get him like this in DBM? I'm disappointed in how they handled his power. Tapion, from what I gather, is definitely not that weak.

Musician, my ass. I know it's been a while since I saw M13, but wasn't it even mentioned that he didn't actually know how to play the ocarina, it just sort of "happened" since they were all holy and stuff?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:What. From what we know, Salagir uses the French manga/anime as a basis, so, maybe the French dub of the movie portrays Tapion that weak?

Hmm...I just popped in M13. Must have been a dub-ism, which just proves how long ago it was that I last watched it if it was the Funi version. Nevermind. xDDBZGTKOSDH wrote:It was? I don't remember that, but it's been some time since I watched the movie.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Yeah, weaker than Freeza? I buy it completely. Weaker than Raditz? Then why even bother including Tapion at all? Was it just a long winded joke? "Ooh, I can't wait to finally see how strong Tapion...oh...nvm." That's lame, though. Especially when you have a bunch of other characters who would have been more interesting to see compete, like U9 Trunks.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I just noticed something on the site, right underneath that last page.

For some reason, I now hate Broly even more.
But still, holding out hope for Tapion to somehow be wielding Hildegarn's power and fighting with that instead of his own. He's got to have SOME form of impressive strength at his disposal, otherwise he wouldn't have been selected for the tournament in the first place.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This is what I'm hoping for. When Goku sensed a powerful Ki...couldn't it have just been Hildegarn? Tapion does little-to-nothing in the way of fighting, and this seems like a great way to make him a contender.Kaboom wrote:But still, holding out hope for Tapion to somehow be wielding Hildegarn's power and fighting with that instead of his own.
