Secure Site?

Post by DBZ MAN » Sun Feb 19, 2006 11:37 am

I want to know if this Site is safe enough to buy from. The reason I ask this is because it is the only site I found that have the new uncut Dragonball Z DVD's in region 2. Amazon and others do not.

Have you heard of this website before?
Thanks.

All of FUNimation's DVDs are encoded for regions 1, 2, and 4, whether the site specifies it or not. Are you looking for FUNimation's "Ultimate Uncut" DVDs, or are you looking for Toei & Pony Canyon's individual R2 discs?

If the former... Z-Store, Amazon, BestBuy, etc. If the latter... Amazon Japan, CDJapan, Play-Asia, etc.

I'm pretty sure this store sells bootlegs.

Given that Robert's Anime Corner Store regularly advertised in the Viz owned Animerica publication (2 or 3 full page ads per issue sometimes), I would have trouble believing it sold bootlegs.

Kodoshin is right. Robert's Anime Corner never sells bootlegs. I've even seen them advertise that fact in ads. I see them advertise on ANN quite frequently as well.

Well there ya' go. Their name is suspiciously similar to a name I know is a bootleg site, though... thus the confusion.

Actually, I think I know the one you mean.....though the name escapes me too. The layouts of their websites are similar, so I think that also contributes to some confusion.

Probably because it's a typical "home-run" internet site. Though legit, its market is too niche for comfort.

I've bought much from them, they're legit. They also have a rather large FAQ on bootlegging and why it sucks.
