Have you read the backstory or the timeline of DBO? Have you play the game? Have you even seen anything about the game? Do you know its story? Do you know what the hell DBO is? If not, don't even talk about it. Don't even compare DBO to DBH.
Yes; no; yes; yes; yes; I do, so can I talk about it? And yes, I can compare DBO to DBH because while DBO takes place after the manga DBH takes place in it's own universe or after the anime, so ... They're still just pointless video games that even Toriyama's kids probably wouldn't play.
I super mega doubt that anything in this movie is slightly related to DBO or DBH - even if it was, it'd be related to DBH since Japan loves it right now. So anything regarding Pilaf's kids is just pure fan speculation.

Someone, make it happen. Now.

The first thing that jumps to mind when I see the new Vegeta figure is Wario and his greediness.

That makes me happy.

Yet. For a reason.

True.

There is too much in DBO to call it just a game compared to every other DB game, when you have Toriyama heavily involved in it. And Toriyama's kids don't even like Dragon Ball, by the way.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Well, I actually think Toryama created the story, I remember it being said on the podcast a few times.

I'm pretty sure it was said that "some of the story sounds like he wrote it", because no one but those involved with the game's development know if he had any involvement with the story--other than having to sign off on it, of course.

Not so sure on the "just signing off on it" thing, but I can`t seem to anything to prove anything...

Toriyama has to sign off on everything involved with the game, it was part of the initial announcements made years ago; way before the game even went to beta. We've had absolutely nothing said about him writing anything though, just his initial memo saying he had done a lot of designs for it over the past couple years.

Yeah, I know he has to sign off everything, I just meant that I actually think that he got involved in the DBO story!

I've found two leaked scans on 2ch, and the title
Battle of Gods seems true now.

Probably the same reason Luffy's aura looks like second gear even though Luffy's body doesn't look it.

I keep forgetting that the poster hasn't been officially released yet. So all these are supposed to be leaked. When were we supposed to receive some official info? Jump tour in December?

You just made me realize that with or without pictures, the title is a bit outdated: the "mystery" has been solved, the film has been clearly announced and is now titled...
Maybe it should just be renamed as something like "New movie:
Battle of the Gods", I think it's better to be specific about the topic because (even though it's not likely to happen), someone who would just find out about the thread might think that a new movie AFTER
Battle of the Gods has just been announced again.
With the new official info, someone should specify which movie this discussion is about in the title thread now, don't you think?

The Kanji for the movie is still "Kami to Kami," but the Engrish title is "Battle of Gods."
