Hopefully we get another trailer showing more of the characters by the end of the year.

I dont know I sort of like having no trailer. Or one that barely has any film in it. It is so much better to see a brand new character you've never seen before. I never saw the trailers to any dbz movies before so when Bojack first appeared, bojack first appeared... and when Janemba turned into his new form, it was a sight to behold. I feel like its better that way so if they come out with a trailer ill have to shield my eyes xD

The idea of cat-guy removing its head and it's really Brolli in disguise (like something out of the end of an old Scooby Doo episode) would be something else. XD
He would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for that meddling Kakarrotto. :3

Now that we know the god hierarchy is "expanding" with this movie, even if they aren't the main focus and these new characters are some sort of completely new deity, I get the feeling we may actually see some sort of inclusion of the Shinjin, Kaishin, the Kaiju and the Makaioshin (unless Toriyama ignores his SEG info and goes a different direction wth the "link" between the gods).

I think the term is 'Brony'. Since...Bro, and Pony...yeah. I have friends that watch it, but I can't bring myself to even give the show a chance...despite my complete love of all things TMNT.

And there's also always the chance that the cat thing is only a henchman or something, and the person in the back is the true threat, or...something. Who knows.

And again, Pilaf antics - they had me in right away.

Pilaf Gang antics is entertaining to me, but when the possibility for crazy stuff happening to Vegeta that's even bigger than the "Bad Man" shirt appears, I just can't say no. X3

Gohan's fursona is that of a giant monkey, silly. Deep down he just wants his chance to let out all of his built up... frustration... once a month in a rampaging simian rage. Do you have a problem with Gohan unleashing his built up frustration under the moonlit glow of the night? Do you?!

Um... back to the movie, how long do you suppose it will take before we get anything on a theme song? Am I the only one nervous about getting an Avril Lavigne cover of Rock the Dragon or something?

If I recall, Kami-gami no Tatakai, Battle of the Gods, was the name of one of the Saint Seiya movies.

The Asgard movie.

You've gotta be kidding me, I was just joking when I made that Saint Seiya comparison over the use of Gods...Toei is just being Toei. They love referring to their older works in (usually) subtle ways. Though, if this movie leads into Dragon Ball x Saint Seiya: Super Kami Taisen, I won't complain a bit.

Now, if that cat creature is real, then I wonder what kind of God it is supposed to be. Maybe one of the fabled Makaioshin? I would love to see the ideas Toriyama revealed a while back included in this movie. Core People, Makaioshin, that sort of thing.

The staff woman looks more like what I would imagine a Makaioshin to be. Perhaps the cat thing is her very own "majin" creature. If Bibidi could make one, I suppose an evil god thing could pull it off. Bibidi's creation had some vaguely Arabic influence in design (the whole Jinn/Genie thing), so maybe evil god ladies base their work on an Egyptian theme.

I'm not very fond of the villain's design either for the moment, but I sure wasn't going to lose all hope for this movie just because of that. I don't mind animal themed characters (been rewatching some randome scenes from Swat Kats for a dose of nostalgia just a couple of days before the poster came ) especially since DB had plenty of those in the beginning.

I just hope they won't overdue it with the silliness. I'm more concerned with Pillaf and the gang and what part they'll play in it.

OK, I've been staying clear of the discussion but I'll give my two cents on the poster.
Let's start with the elephant in the room; Cat like god guy: either an entire new deity, something related to the Shinians like TheDevilsCorpse said, the villain who sealed Elder East Kaioshin into the Z-Sword, a Neko Majin, or a mix and match from the above.

The mysterious girl on the left is Videl for sure; she's next to Satan, her facial structure is the same and so is the eye colour. She's just sporting a new hairdo and clothing, soo is Yamcha, Kuririn and Tenshinhan for that matter (although Yamcha has wore something similar in Sleeping Princess in Devils Castle). I can't see Jiaozi (Chaozu), or anyone else apart from the obvious ones. I won't speculate on the girl on the centre.

Pilaf is blue here, as always, although there's a figure of him sporting a new colour and a completely different clothing. It's hard to tell if this is a relative of Pilaf (possible son) or a goofed colour and the clothing is legit since there's a bunch of new clothing on other characters. The son bit is plausible since he has got a descendent in Online.

For those arguing that Online has no impact, get real, the whole franchise impacts itself, or did you not notice how Heroes had a movie to showcase a new transformation? Episode of Bardock anyone? Not to mention good ol' Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans and it's now four different versions.
