You unlock Uub by killing Kid Buu by Goku with the Spirit Bomb.Codarik wrote:In Budokai 3, how do you unlock Uub, Mr. Satan, Saibamen, Cell Jr, and the Cell Games?

Here's a handy guide to beating/unlocking everything in the game: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/foru ... p?t=396900Codarik wrote:In Budokai 3, how do you unlock Uub, Mr. Satan, Saibamen, Cell Jr, and the Cell Games?

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
For Saibamen, Cell Jr. and Cell Games you first have to unlock Dragon Arena by beating story mode with every character (except Uub and Broly). For Saibamen, use a level 10-20 character then just keep fighting level 32 videl in dragon arena over and over again until nappa breaks in (just don't use Nappa when fighting Videl).Codarik wrote:In Budokai 3, how do you unlock Uub, Mr. Satan, Saibamen, Cell Jr, and the Cell Games?
For Cell Jr., use a level 30-40 character and just keep fighting level 66 majin buu over and over again until Piccolo Breaks in (except dont use Piccolo when fighting majin buu).
For Cell Games, doesn't matter what level your character, just keep fighting level 51-55 characters until Cell breaks in (except don't use Cell when fighting level 51-55 characters).
For Mr. Satan, Use piccolo after you beat DU twice. Then before you fight Buu, and after the "event" at Central City, search the desert surrounding Baba's Palace. You will find a scene with Hercule. After this scene, go to Central City and talk to Videl. After your conversation with Videl, Hercule will become unlocked.

Because that's really his name and this forum embraces the original version. It's like early 90's anime replacing the original Japanese names with American names. That's not their names and this forum will change that.GogetaSSJ2 wrote:Oh wow really? (the H-word) is bleeped out everytime I say (the H-word). I have to say Mr. Satan. Oh ok that makes sense. I'm definitely a purist when it comes to DBZ, its just funny seeing it replaced like that because its the first time its happened to me.dragondyle wrote:Because that's really his name and this forum embraces the original version. Just out of curiosity, are there other DBZ names that the American version will be bleeped out besides Mr. Satan?

I don't believe so. Probably some filler characters but most of the character's names were kept the same or close to the original name or just a respelling. Mr. Satan was changed to H-e-r-c-u-l-e in the Funimation dub because of religious reasons. Well, Guldo I don't think is replaced here. His original name is Gurd.GogetaSSJ2 wrote:Oh ok that makes sense. I can't remember the time Mr. Satan was kept with his original name, other than the old games. It's odd to me when Mr. Satan talks and Hеrcule is the name that pops up.dragondyle wrote:I don't believe so. It's kept in the uncut dub and the movies. I can't really think of anywhere else. It's not even kept in the Viz manga.dbboxkaifan wrote:I can't remember the time Mr. Satan was kept with his original name, other than the old games. Ah, thanks for the clarification. I don't necessarily trust the description though, all three regions seem to be copied and pasted from the same source. I'm gonna try sending them an email to ask about it, though I doubt I'll get any kind of response.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Yeah, they're legit. Asian copies are usually manufactured for Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, and other non-Japanese Asian markets with a sizable English speaking audience. Sometimes they're translated into local languages, but most of the time they're either in Japanese or English. I can't speak for what version (EU vs. NA for the Collection's code) the Asian release uses, but PlayAsia's listings are pretty much always correct.Taku128 wrote:I went to PlayAsia the other day to look at the price of importing the European version of Budokai HD, since I figured if I'm ever gonna pick this up I should grab the European release so I can play Budokai 1 in Japanese, and came across these listings for Asian releases of the game.
http://www.play-asia.com/Dragon_Ball_Z_ ... -5fnx.html
http://www.play-asia.com/Dragon_Ball_Z_ ... -5fnv.html
Both use the European boxart, but Googling the product codes on both listings brought me to Chinese sites that were also selling them, with pictures of the boxart that clearly wasn't just the PAL box again.
Anyone know anything about this Asian release? I've never bought anything from PlayAsia but I've never heard anything about them dealing in bootlegs or anything, so I assume they're legit. The 360 release says it's compatible with American consoles, and both versions are cheaper than their European counterparts so it would be the better version to import.

Really, I'm even more disappointed that the main page revealed the censorship in HD Collection that will affect the purchasing decision. I really will never ever understand why they would even mentioned the censorship, like, at all. There's no really need for it to be made public.
Regardless of what they said, I'm gonna buy it, just because it's Budokai. It will always be good games no matter what.
On other side, I saw a different cover in GameStop:

There's no need to do research, comparisons, and present legitimate information to a wide audience so that they can be properly informed and make purchasing decisions for themselves based on the best information available to them, and instead actively and purposefully hide and bury this information?DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:Really, I'm even more disappointed that the main page revealed the censorship in HD Collection that will affect the purchasing decision. No, it's just that I'd like to see the Dragon Ball franchise improve on the video game sales. More sale, more good games made. That's something I would love to see.

Look, I know how you feel about having that dissuasive news on the main page.
But that's just the way it goes, people will not only inform of negative things, they will unfortunately focus on them, put them in the flashlight, putting less emphasis on the good points.
It's like that for games, movies, music, and even people themselves.
If on 50 points, 49 are positive and only 1 is negative, you can rest assured that what's going to be on the spotlight is that one negative point.
I find this inability to also focus on good points on an equal level disheartening too, but I also know that it doesn't prevent things to be successful when they deserve it.
I think Kai is a good example of it. People went to bash it all the time, and yet when it's been announced that it would return, reactions were mostly positive, because this time was a good occasion to express happy feelings about Kai.
I know it's frustrating always seeing people complain just about everything and forgetting to show how happy or excited they are about other things, but you have to remember that there are tons of people thinking good things and not expressing themselves, because people find it more interesting to express their disappointments than to explain how content they are with other elements.
So this collection's quality is not necessarily in question, but the website has to notify people about what interests them, and in our world, negative "don't be fooled into buying it" aspects prevail for people over "here are quite awesome elements that are really really nice". People are afraid of bad surprises more than they are enthusiastic for good surprises, so they tend to search and discuss more about (or one might say "make a big deal of") negative aspects.
