What is this!?!?

I found a dub episode of GT, but it isn't FUNimation's dub.
I'm confused, could somebody tell me who dubbed this (if anyone knows)?

It sounds like Ocean Studios..I'm pretty certain that's Saffron Henderson doing the voice of Goku there. Don't know about the others though.

Yeah, it's Blue Water Studios' dub (they are a a part of the "Ocean Group, I believe).

It is (was?) aired in Canada and Europe.

I quite like it.
Where's the beef?

On hiatus.

This is a good dub. :)

The narrator sounds pretty annoying though.

EDIT-Oh, I forgot. Why did they change Rildo's name?

Alright, I hope this thread gets locked considering I posted the first episode nearly a year ago and it got locked. And yeah, that was the first episode of the Blue Water dub. It'd only be fair for this thread to be locked as well.

Yeah, that's the Blue Water studio VAing that dub of GT, which aired in Canada and the UK. They don't use the same VAs as the Ocean Group, they're rather a sister studio that get paid less for voicing. They also did the original DB dub for Canada and the UK.

Yea, I always wondered why we got GT's Japanese BGM, I thought Funi might have done what they did to DB but when I found out it was Blue Water, and Funi's GT had different BGM I felt lucky to live in England for that. Heh, no lost episodes crap.

The Blue Water dub's voices can get annoying at times though, but that don't bother much seeing as GT was a screw up anyway. I wanted to see how they handled the last episode and it was decent enough, it captures the moment, and since Goku is a kid we don't get no deep voice to spoil the scene. They didn't show the whole flash back though! They should have showed it all, but the best thing is they kept 'Dan Dan Kokoro Hikare Deku' with Japanese lyrics, dub fans must have been like 'WTF is this?! DBZ is Japanese?!'

Trust me, there are a considerable lot of people in this country(and probably even America) who don't even know DBZ is a Japanese anime, a lot would probably not even know the term anime, it's like that where I live.

Whenever I go to a family friend's house and watch one of my DVD's in my portable DVD player, I have to deal with little kids asking me a bunch of questions because I mostly watch the JP version. Some of them think it's annoying. :|

Haha those fanboys. The reason there are so many is because Funi or whoever have been targeting a young age group. Some people come up to me saying "theres a comic now of it" or "DBZ was manga/ a comic before?

Why does everyone keep saying that? It's the same with Funi. :?

A) There isn't a way to download the episodes directly.

B) Blue Water's Dragonball dubs have never received any type of commercial release, and never will.

Y'know, I actually spotted a couple of episodes (while glimpsing at Mexican Spanish dubbed episodes of later Z) and I actually liked this version better than FUNi's. Sure, the opening's WAY short and leaves abit to be desired, but if you listen to the lyrics, they're pretty much dead on about what the show is about. Unlike FUNi, who thinks the show is about "x-treme" fighting and ki blasting. Especially what with its horrendous music.

The voices can be a little bland, but they're not all bad. I actually like Pan's voice, she's damn adorable. o_O; Oh yeah, and it seems like the script's somewhat dead-on with the original script. They even kept Gill's name as is, rather than going with Giru. Was also shocked to see this dub went in the same manner as the original in the recaps. Less narrator speaking, although he does try to approach the matter like the first English Z one did by somewhat shouting his lines and sounding a little too serious.

I wouldn't mind watching that dub more.
