I haven't seen anything bad in this special so far. Raichi doesn't seem as evil as he was in the main universe, but since he actually got his revenge in this universe, perhaps that was enough to calm him down. As for the other one (can't remember his name) so far he is acting innocent like he did in the movie so he can achieve his goal, I believe.
And yes, I'm taking into account the pages that the translation team has access to (since I'm part of it).
Here is the new page and also the previous page with the dialog inserted.

How did you get to read it early? We've only seen one page so far.

On the translators' page its up to page 635. But, like I said, having seen those same pages, I haven't seen anything bad in this special so far. Its a matter of opinion, like always.
I honestly don't care how bad the story will apparently get. If the background art continues to look totally bitchin' for the rest of the special, I'm good.
Just noticed something else interesting on the site itself again.
Sorry to tell you so late, but here's the new chapter special! It will be 48 pages long and will be released at 3 pages per week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday).
It is drawn by Beta, who is Japanese. Make her fell welcome!
Meanwhile, with various cartoonists, we are working on the main storyline.
I want to say that probably means they're still in the 'audition' process as it were, but the way it's worded...they wouldn't be going with multiple artists in the main story now, would they?

Maybe they'll swap every chapter like with the specials.
I just hope they get someone who can match Gogeta's art style. It would be really weird if the art style took a drastic change.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
Wouldn't be any stranger than when American comics have a change of artist.
Though I'm kind of hoping they manage to get Beta here to do more. So far I really like what I see.
Avys ~ DA account ~ Fanfiction ~ Chat Quotes <Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

That's honestly another of the reasons I prefer manga over American comics. For the most part, I'd rather keep the same artist, or at least the same style, over the course of a series.
I guess it is too early to speculate though, I just thought I'd mention it since I noticed it is all.

Then again, it might split the DBM fandom the same way the Metallica fandom was somewhat split when Kirk Hammett was brought in to replace Dave Mustaine after he got kicked out
