With bootlegs like this, I wonder why people so skilled don't use their talents in order to sell fans custom boxes for legit DVD sets. I know that some fans would kill to have a neat custom box to fit their Season Set discs into.

I found a good box for my Season sets.

It was a postage box, when I sent them away. :P

Har har har.

Honestly, though, someone should learn to make those boxes so they can sell custom box sets. I'd buy one just to hold some burned DVD-Rs of TFS DBZ Abridged.

If it's on a fan level I don't think there will be too much problems..but I think you still could get in trouble for selling copyrighted characters..even on a box to hold legitimate dvd's :/ I'd like boxes for a my Dragon ball singles.

Soppa Saiyjins from Dorgou Ballru Zetto is my favorite transformation everah, especially when Trounksoru did it in front of Seru and when Bejita did it when he faced Jingonigen-hachigo. But for real, I use the FUNi pronunciation. - Soppa Saia People

Although I assume they've crammed 17 episodes per disc.
Yeah, if it were cheap enough I'd throw out the discs and put the Funimations ones inside.

Speaking of which, AnimeMaakuo would you happen to have any more photos of these bootlegs? I must admit, I'm quite curious about the packaging.
I don't have any other photos except for this one, sadly. =/. Would you like for me to ask the seller?
that would be good. There are also many bootlegs on Yahooauctions Japan but there nowhere near as convincing as these

Very true, but if you're going to be selling bootlegs, anyway, then it really doesn't matter if selling legit custom boxes is against the law or not.

I tend to stray away from DVDs, because you never know if they're going to be bootleg copies, even if you buy them at Toys R Us, they might even be bootlegs.
Dvds are cheap and easy to copy, whereas BD-Rs are more expensive, and less prone to be knocked-off. Who would go through all the trouble to buy several $20 discs?, it bites into the pirate's profit margin. Even if a pirate were to spend $20 on that disc, he'd put all the episodes on it, and then you'd know it's a fake because it only comes with one disc.

I've been there man, anime purchases on sites other than an authorized retailer can go downhill.

Actually, bootlegs from Toys R Us can be found in USA, CAN, Phillipines too. :)

I'm Canadian, and I've found 200 in 1 games here as well.
During the holiday season - which doesn't make it any better.

US, CAN, PL.

Thanks for that info yeha I compared the info that the auction had to the kanzenshuu home release guide and everything seems to be almost spot on in terms of disc count the only things that seem to be missing from these sets are the special discs that the DBZ and DBGT DBOX's had which if you take those away actually equals 94 discs in total out of the 98 you'd get with the special discs included into the mix, so I don't think anybody would have to worry about these being one of those piss poor Bootlegs that has a crap load of episodes per disc, you'd just be missing the 4 special discs that come with the official DBZ/DBGT DBOX's.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).
