Dbz Kicked off CN altogether?

Post by Chuquita » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:45 pm

I know last week dbz was moved from 7:30 on Saturday to 10:30 from Monday to Thursday, but after that one week it disappeared from the 10:30 slot altogether.

And I've seen some schedules saying they moved back to 7:30pm again, only now they've gone from the Redub, to the Ocean dub, to Season 3, and now to the Garlic Jr saga. o__O

Will someone please tell me what's going on?
On hiatus.

Um...Cartoon Network sucks......go anime fansubs!!

Honestly though, I think it has much to do with ratings in terms of switching time slots. As far as switching from one saga to another, then from Ocean's dub to FUNI's dub....I have no idea.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are just blindly picking episodes from a hat or something. I don't really care though, I think I've seen every DBZ episode on CN. I think it's time for some DB.

They've already shown all of original DB, all its sagas at least twice. It didn't do as hot in ratings as DBZ, hence why it's no longer being shown. Yeah, why original DB doesn't do better than DBZ when it retains the original BGM and stays nicely accurate, don't ask. On the subject of this thread, I honestly have no clue what Cartoon Network is on right now. From showing live-action movies, to making their own edit on an episode of Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist, and to all this confusing crap with DBZ, I wouldn't be surprised if they had some new retard executive snob in charge of things. Concerning why they're not showing original DB, I already have basically the entire series, so I'm good there, same with DBZ and GT as well.

Psst, the Piccolo Daimao Arc is so awesome, and you could watch the DragonBall Movie Box movies right before the end of Tien and Goku's 22nd Budokai fight and be good to watch the Piccolo Daimao saga.

:? Garlic Jr. Saga? Damn, are they retarted or something? :x [rant] I hate the Garlic Jr. Saga, the most evil thing Toei ever gave birth to.(minus Lord Slug and Bio-Broli movies, respectively.) [/rant]

:P C'mon, CN! Go back to DB! PLEEEASE!!! What am I saying? I'll be probably too busy playing Tales of Symphnoia to notice...

Not a Naruto or FMA fan I take it.

I think he was saying quite the opposite, that he's opposed to them editing Naruto and FMA. And yeah, what's up with the live-action movies? I mean I can understand something that's part animation like Osmosis Jones, but Ace Ventura??

Exactly, I love both FMA and Naruto, but Cartoon Network and the way they've been ... meh, anal isn't even the right word.

:? I know about the Naruto edit...but what exactly did they do to FMA and why? It's on Adult Swim, dammit! :x

Maybe they just have the urge to edit something right now since they have nothing else to edit at the moment. <_<

I thought it was whoever produces the dub of a show that edits it though, not CN themselves.

Two words: Scar's Head-Splatter. Okay, maybe that's three words. In any case, Cartoon Network went to the trouble of editing that when Scar uses it.

Cartoon Network's made exceptions. They cut out a part in Naruto where Sakura gets stuck with needles in her neck, as well as what I mentioned above about FMA.

Just to let anyone know, they are playing Dragonball Z at 10:30 EST tonight. Which is in just a few minutes.

Do any of you think that they could maybe put "Ultimate Uncut" DBZ on Adult Swim?

They most likley won't considering not one episode meritted a TV-14 rating when they were all airing Uncut at 10:30, and also due to the fact they've already aired the whole thing plus a rerun route with the first several episodes on Toonami. That's my say.

:P You mean needles in Sasuke's neck, right?

I thought the scene with Hohenheim and Trisha in bed might've been edited for some reason...oh well...I'm suprised they didn't edit Gato's death. :P

Gatô's death was already edited.
Where's the beef?

:? Really? Damn. I've got to see that episode uncut. I thought that they hadn't edited anything...though of course, his death was changed entirely from the manga, where Zabuza beheaded him.

I think that's what Diablo stated.

The death was left untouched in the dub from what I can see. I tihnk there was some minor blood splattering erased, but aside from that//
