Kanzenshuu gets a shout out as one of the many consultants:

By the looks of it this battle is going to be a crash course in physics.

I like how they got It'sJustSomeRandomGuy to do the voice for Superman. I love his work ever since I started using Youtube in 2007.

Wow! Kanzenshuu, TeamFourStar AND The Dao of Dragon Ball! And to have It'sJustSomeRandomGuy along the mix?! I guess that's why he didn't do any videos lately! This better and I mean it's better be mega epic to need to use all these resources and time!

The preview video for Goku is now available, and clocks in around three and a half minutes.

And I get an amazing quote for people to hate me for.

... Where did the Super Saiyan 4 multiplier came from? It's SS3 x10? And when did he train under Ru Kaioshin?

Yeah, same. I'm really interested in hearing more about how the numbers were calculated since everything gets super vague post-Freeza.

I'd say SSJ4 is more than 10 times as strong as SSJ3, because Baby Vegeta defeats SSJ3 Goku effortlessly and needs to transform into Oozaru (which supposedly multiplies one's power by 10) to be in the same league as SSJ4 Goku.

I have no idea. We were not privy to any of that stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome and analysis just as much as everyone else!

Yeah, that's pretty much where the number comes from. Whether everyone completely agrees with it or not is another matter, but throwing the Oozaru multiplier on top of Super Saiyan 3 seems like one of the simplest solutions. Super Saiyan 4 has to be significantly stronger than Super Saiyan 3 for anything to make much sense.

Even if that SS4 multiplier makes sense, it's still unofficial info. And Ru Kaioshin as one of Goku's masters is false info. But hopefully, these errors will not affect the battle, so I don't care that much. I can't wait for the battle!

"Unofficial" is fine so long as it's a reasonable extrapolation. If they were stuck using nothing but official numbers most of the Death Battles would be a coin flip or just wild mass guessing. There's a lot of "If A > B and B > C then A > C" kind of stuff that has to happen even if "A > C" is not technically stated.

Yeah, but that's not strange in these Death Battle things, right? I mean, they said there would be calculations, and that's one of them. Since there's no official number for Super Saiyan 4, it's probably the best they can do.
And Ru Kaioshin as one of Goku's masters is false info.
I suppose they might be counting when he did that weird "training" for the guy in GT, before getting his tail pulled out? But I don't remember GT well enough to say for sure.

Even then, it would still be debatable though. SS4 Goku was treating "Super Bebi Vegeta 2" like a toy. Going Oozaru would increase Bebi's power by x10, but he wasn't a regular Oozaru. So, does going super stack the traditional x50 multiplier on top of that as well? It makes a lot of sense, but that would also mean that SS4's multiplier would be kind of ridiculous to think about really, buuuut, this is Dragon Ball... lol

Ah yes, they said they would also calculate they calculated this, then OK. And I totally forgot about Ru Kaioshin "training" Goku to reach SS4.
So no errors anywhere, all clear. 8)

Yeah, definitely. Like I said in the post before my last one, not everyone's going to agree. I think every calculation they possibly come up with will be debatable, technically. Heck, I'm expecting to watch it and nitpick apart any physics they use, because that's what I do.

Yeah, like when they say "Superman was able to lift a black hole with his bare hands :o " I'll be like "well then, define what would a black hole be in that specific universe, because it surely ain't a black hole such as the ones General Relativity conveys Image" 8)

Okay, I'll shut up now

I think 10x is to low to but theres to much guessing to get a real number. When Goku first fought Vegeta didn't Vegeta say that useing his fake moon trick to transform would lower his power? So isn't it possible that Bebi didn't actually get a 10x boost when he transformed? Or maybe before transforming he had taken to much of a beating so his power had dropped down to sub SS3 kid Goku level. Or maybe Bebi was SS2 but was only SS1 Oozaru for whatever reason.

Either way, a 4000x boost from Base to Super Saiyan 4 is a ludicrous amount of power. Even if the specific numbers are debatable, there's no way in hell that calculation is unacceptably low.
