About "Cha-La Head Cha-La"... to me, that song, along with "Zenkai Power", are all about a child's imagination. It's a song speaking about a child's burgeoning outlook on the world and its potential. Both songs, really, are Gohan songs. They're about Gohan. About his perspective, coming out from the sheltered existence he had and into the world, experiencing weird, fantastic things and imagining just how much more exciting and fantastic it will get. It's also a song about the audience. Gohan becomes the lens through which we see this world. Previously it was Goku, now it's Gohan.

I always thought Cha La was some kind of musical embodiment of the tone and feel of the series. Since DB is a wacky adventure/action show with talking animals, killer cyborgs, perverted martial arts masters and a f..k tonne of other things.

I wonder if there's a clause attached to being allowed to fight Birusu; like if you fight him and lose, he's allowed to cause destruction and chaos throughout your planet. That would be a reason for Kaio-sama not wanting Goku to fight him.

Another thought that Kaio might also know: Maybe Birusu might be capable of doing crazy special-power-damage to Goku that would be an even worse fate for him than killing him; like really messing him up somehow.

He seems more like he's bored and wants a challenge, similar to Goku, thus why the Freeza rumor interests him. Maybe Kaio tells him not to fight because he is scared that if the Saiyan doesn't live up to Bils' expectations, he may just wipe everything out of existence. And if Goku can't defeat the Hakaishin, who is going to stop him from doing it?

Yeah, but I think that's only because of his green shirt, but it's a lot shorter here and I like how it looks like this more. Also that the ends of his belt are hanging from the knot and from the side.

I'm definitely interested in what's going on story-wise, eggs and sand and what not, but the animation certainly isn't anything special. =/

As big of a db fan as I am, I had never really heard of the "World Tree" people have been talking about from this trailer until now... the kaioshin/shinjin and all that other worldly stuff is certainly the aspect of db I know the least about... (not sure exactly where this info comes from), but I saw a post somewhere on this forum from a google search:

The Elder Kaioshin is kind of an exception because he's a hold-over from a previous generation. How this god system is supposed to work is that at any one time there will be 5 Kaios and 5 Kaioshins. As Toriyama says in the SEG, when a Kaio/shin dies, a replacement is chosen by lottery from among the members of a special race called the Shinjin, who are born from World Tree fruit. Kaio are selected from regular Shinjin, while Kaioshin are only selected from Shinjin born from rare golden fruit. In the series of course there's only one Kaioshin left of the five that were around when Boo was created, and it's never explained why those empty positions haven't been filled in the millions of years since Boo's rampage. I guess we're supposed to assume that no new golden World Tree fruit have grown since then. The Elder Kaioshin was the East Kaioshin 15 generations back. Goku and Kibito refer to him as "Dai-Kaioshin" in one chapter (and then abruptly stop in the next), which may mean he took over the empty position of Dai-Kaioshin.

Kibito is the attendant or assistant of the Kaioshins, which where his name comes from: "attendant" in Japanese is tsukibito. It's not known if he's a Shinjin or not.

This being the case, now that I am slightly enlightened. Here comes a plot theory haha...... I wonder if the "egg" is actually fruit from the tree and Bils uses his power to casually turn it to dust (cuz he is evil like that). As the "god of destruction," maybe the balance that is off is the lack of there being 4 other kaioshin. Maybe someone wasn't doing their job and this went un-noticed until goku grabbed his attention. Maybe that's why Bils and Whis are on King Kai's planet. Maybe they are discussing some kind of imbalance and requesting to meet this Goku person from him because he resides over his quadrant of the galaxy.

In any case, I am somehow betting that this enemy does not endanger the earth. I am willing to bet he is threatening to actually destroy the tree and thus wipe out all future possibility of any shin-jin being born (thus actually destroying the creation of new gods/entities to watch over the universe). That would make the stakes much higher, certainly.

Toei started showing the new trailer at movie theaters on December 7, so a morning show named Mezamashi TV on Fuji TV covered it.

Guys, I've got a CRAZY THEORY!!!

Galactus = Birusu
Silver Surfer = Freeza
or perhaps
Odin = Birusu
Thor = Freeza works better.

Anyhow, Birusu probably foreseen that he would enter a long slumber (you can almost liken it to Odin Sleep)
In his place he leaves a person (a champion or Herald) to cause destruction across the Universe in his place, Freeza.
(Freeza happens to be the single strongest person in the Universe at that specific time).

Birusu wakes up from long slumber to find his champion/herald defeated by Goku, naturally he would be both intrigued and pissed off. (He would be pissed of because the destruction has stopped) (But intrigued because there is a stronger fighter than Freeza amongst MORTALS)
