The Red Ribbon Army? I know Dr. Gero, who worked for them is mentioned in the Z era but after Goku destroys the actual Red Ribbon Army nobody mentions them again really.

Okay, sorry.

How's this:

We were destroyed spectacularly all at once, and then never mentioned again.

This happens in the manga AND anime. Even gets a nod in a particular PS2 game.

A karate belt? Goku has it for a while but then he changes to a Sash. And they signify a level of, or fruits of, training
