I wouldn't even mind if it was only a Dragon Ball x One Piece x Toriko game, just means that there'd potentially be more DB and One Piece characters, which pleases me

If it is a large crossover game (more likely tbh) I could totally see Naruto in there with all the new power-ups that are basically Super Saiyan Naruto.

It won't be Jump Stars HD or anything like that. Nintendo co-created the Jump Stars games with Ganbarion. They own the IP. Namco Bandai is publishing this game.

Lol let's compare names, though. Super Smash Brothers was originally called Nintendo All-Stars! Battle Royale Smash Brothers, and Sony's game...PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. But the gameplay is quite different. Battle Stadium D.O.N was a lot more like Smash Brothers than PS All-Stars. I hope this game is like D.O.N. Though, I never did get to play the Jump Stars games...

I'm pretty sure that this game WON'T be like Battle Stadium D.O.N.
For Battle Stadium D.O.N, right from the title you can tell that it's only about Dragonball, One Piece and Naruto, hence D.O.N.
The title here is PROJECT VERSUS J, J most likely means Jump, as in JUMP manga characters. The game probably wouldn't have used the J (Jump) to only have 3 series battle it out.
I'm sensing a Wii U release, hopefully 3DS but I wouldn't have my hopes up for 3DS.

Visually looks a lot like it. Hell, if I only saw the Goku screenshot, I'd think it was just a new stage for it lol (There also it being in the "team battle action" category, very reminiscent of it as well)

I can't be sure, but it looks like they're just showcasing various characters from Jump that could make it into the game, depending on who the voters choose. None of those could be confirmations, just examples of what could be included.
