Anyways, on topic, I think Vic's version is the best, followed by Sean's (I know it's got a little autotune, but it's really not that bad).
How did you feel about the English singers in Kai?

@Puto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cGVLYdnKTA Yeah, it's not the best, but it's certainly not the worst I've ever heard (the Galician Dragon Ball opening anybody?
) I do think that the opening for DBGT for the Eu PT dub is pretty catchy (GT Dragon Ball GT
).

All songs from latino DBZ dub are awesome, but "Angelos Fuimos" is definitely the best.TheBlackPaladin wrote:I thought the Mexican Spanish dub of "We Were Angels" was exceptional.
...Then again, I love that song in general. One of Kageyama's best, if you ask me.

I like the English singers. Then again I just like it when Funimation dubs songs. I'm especially glad that they dub someone's singing. When dialogue goes from English to singing in Japanese it kinda irks me at times. Background songs I don't care as much, but singing should be dubbed.

In the future they should really ease off the auto tune. A natural voice would sound better, if they can sing.

The only one who sounds autotuned is Sean Schemmel. The rest are pretty much natural.Jackal puFF wrote:In the future they should really ease off the auto tune. A natural voice would sound better, if they can sing.

Some good, Some bad. I prefer the unaltered Japanese singers even if it breaks the idea of an english dub.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Vic Mignogna is autotuned too, but it's less noticable because the song fits his vocal range much better. I think Sonny Strait's and Justin Cook's versions have autotune as well, but I couldn't find a video of the latter's version on YouTube and I'm too lazy to check my DVD.Gonstead wrote:The only one who sounds autotuned is Sean Schemmel. While I thought Vic sang the best, I thought Schemmel emulated the Japanese performance the best. About the auto-tune, I just watched a panel where Schemmel said Sabat asked him to record it last minute at his house, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...

I really just don't like any of the English "Dragon Soul" performers other than Vic. In my opinion he suited it better than all the others could. Sean's rendition was horrendous. Just stick to screaming.
So mondo lame.
