About Birusu and the new screencap:

Maybe it's not physical strength; maybe Birusu's magical-destruction finger can pause or manipulate time (ala those exploding hourglasses from later in the trailer) and that's what's going on there. It doesn't technically say he defeats him with one finger after all, just that he defeats him. I want to think it's going to be something more creative than rehashing Future Trunks vs Goku only with a reverse result.

Or maybe, if Birusu showing off his "turning stuff to sand" finger happens earlier in the film, Goku knows he has to avoid that and is stopped just for that one moment when he realizes how close he was to being destroyed. (Can Birusu destroy the souls attached to the bodies too so they don't even get to Enma's? I dunno.)

Being stronger that Super Saiyan 3 Goku? Oh definitely. Being able to simply stop him in his track with one finger? I very much doubt that. Those you said are strong but none are THAT strong. Not even Super Baby 2 was shown to be able to do that, or at least he did nothing that implied he was capable of such feat.

How much stronger do you have to be to stop someone like that? I'd say one could if they were more than twice as powerful than the target, so all of them could do so.

I know this takes place before Uub appears, but I only just realized that it kind of makes the whole Uub thing pointless to Goku if he truly encounters another enemy that is stronger than him before Uub shows up. I thought the whole point was Buu was so strong that he was the only opponent that could really give Goku a run for his money. Even with all his power he couldn't seem to defeat him all on his own, so that seems to make it all that more important to Goku to get to fight his reincarnation. But if Bils has already appeared and Goku somehow defeats him in this movie it would kind of mess that up eh? If this is indeed canon. Part of me wishes that this took place sometime after uub appears so we can see some of his development as Toriyama would have done it (or alternatively at least later in the series so we could see pan and an older Trunks/Goten)...

So we have seen a few glimpses of Goku being at SSJ3.

Do you think we will see Vegeta go SSJ2? Or Gohan seeing as how he blonde in the picture.

I get a feeling like in the trailer we will see Vegeta transform but it will be hard to tell like usual for him if he is SSJ1 or SSJ2.

You would think they would go their strongest forms fighting such a new strong enemy.

True. I agree the post uub timeframe would be much more interesting to explore. Seeing some actual interaction between Goku and uub and some more development for Pan. They would ofcourse need to come up with a lot more new stuff for all the characters. New designs more backstory. But I'd love it. If there ever comes another movie that's the way to go!

Part of me wishes Goten was 19 so we could have an adult version of him in the inevitable, yet up and coming title that will have Bils in it.
I don't like Uub very much, he's pointless; I wish they'd just retcon him out of Kazenban and made Goten a fighter, rather than apathetic 1st generation hybrid like Gohan. I don't see what the problem is. He's got IT, he can go between Oob's village and his own house quicker and easier than it would be for someone to move between rooms in their own house.

Yeah I really don't buy into GT's "Goku hasn't been home for the past 10 years" crap. Goku set out to train this new super strong kid, I don't see what's wrong with that. He probably kept overseeing Goten and Pan's training as well.
In Neko Majin Z 5 you get a glimpse of what Toriyama envisioned, with Uub simply staying at Goku's house for training.

Yes! Miyaguchi is back! That's always news to hear to have the original actor for some spin-off or continuation of the old series.
Only thing I hated with dub in Kai was Aya Hirano, so I won't miss her a bit if she is left out. Never heard so much annoying acting in anime before.

I can actually almost buy Goku not visiting his relatives for ten years, if he got REALLY caught up in Uub's training. Goku's shown to not really mind how long he goes without seeing people even in the end of Z. That said, I do prefer the idea of him training Uub, but then also coming around to continue Pan's training. I'd like to think he stays with Uub for a year or so maybe, to get him really going, and then starts bringing him back around to his home to train alongside Pan.

Which is what I'd really love to see in a post Z film, instead of a just-before-the-end-of-Z film like we're getting, but nooooo.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking of, yeah. If it weren't for the completely meta jokes with the Goku action figures and flat-out mentioning Dragon Ball and what not, I'd almost be trying to pull Neko Majin into my own personal canon. As it is though, it's easier for me to count GT, with less work put into it actually.

That's one of my biggest fears about this movie. I'm really hoping they don't pull "the memory loss" bit at the end.
