That joke is from the podcast, isn't it!

Also Gokuu looks kind of like....well Gokuu and not like Kakarotto.

I guess that is Goku, with the rounded eyes and all.
It would be awesome if it was Goku for real.
I mean, the facial expression he makes and the comment are pretty much Goku-like.

Well, he has been raised by his family in his home planet, so he isn't just an instinct-driven Saiyan.
I guess he isn't exactly like the madman Kakarotto of Universe 13. I say he's something in-between Universe 13's and Universe 18's versions.

That'd be my guess too. This version of Kakarot may be closer to regular Goku than the psycho that's in the tournament, but still more brutal and evil than our regular Goku.

Nope. The first special showed the Saiyans defeating Freeza, then we got this one.
So, the in-between and Daimao's story (the most interesting part) are still a mistery.

Thank you Hanasia, for speaking sense here. Can't lie, she's looking even more mannish here though.

*sigh* Can I ask what do you guys find interesting here? I can appreciate the effort and it feels like the first time they're trying something new but... honestly? It can't really catch my interest, I don't really care what happens.

I honestly find this to be the most interesting alternate universe, just because so much is changed.

Though I'd prefer a Daimao special to this.

Vaguely interesting, but I haven't seen Movie 13 or PtEtSS, and I dislike their shitty ~*female saiyan*~.

Wait? What? Why? Why haven't you seen those two? Especially Dragon Fist Explosion!
As for what's-her-face, so far I've disliked every *new* character Salagir came up with, even the ones he stole from other fanfics. They all seem bland and pointless. Like this Saiyan woman who seems to get more focus than everyone else.

I can't say this special is of huge interest to me, but hey, I'll take anything that's not another 'Oh noes the main villain of that story won so let's watch everyone else get slaughtered for 30 pages' special.

My thoughts exactly, at least something different is happening.

Would you be so nice as to elaborate? I admit that I've never realy been into the DB fandom (I like the series but not most of the fans reactions) so I'm not knowledgeable about the subject and I'd love to know which characters Salagir stole from other fanfics. Please answer :)

I think the only ones he didn't steal were the guys from universe 19 and I'K'L. Even then I'm not enterely sure since aparrntly they're based on characters from other franchises. Universe 10 and 13 are completely stolen from other fanfics though.

Maybe he asked permission from the authors of those fanfics. I really don't know how that whole thing went. Either way, using good ideas is a smart move.

You don't have to "ask permission" to tell a story about evil Saiyans. It's hardly a completely original idea to ponder what would happen had Goku not bumped his head. It's not like one person has a monopoly on parallel universe stories.

I'm not saying he would have to, its not like the writers of that fanfic have the rights to it or anything, but, if he did take those universes from certain fanfics (I really have no idea), it would be considerate of him to ask or inform the writers. They might even be able to help with DBM or something.

Eh. A courtesy would be fine but even then I think that once you engage in something like fan fiction, you implicitly agree that, barring blatant cut/paste plagiarism, somebody else can be take from you without scorn, since by fan fiction's very nature it would be hypocritical to do otherwise. And in the case of U13, I don't think any inspiration would even be necessary. It's such a basic premise for an alternate universe that 100 different people could easily have independently developed it without ever having known about other fan projects. If we were talking about U19 with its completely original cast then that would be different. But "evil Goku" is hardly something that could be considered "stolen" from another fanfic.
