I don't know about the FMA scene and what it looked like, but I know that the anime on CN can't do certain things like go over the TV14 rating. Bebop and YYH had a few things cut on AS.

Everytime Scar would use his arm on someone's head, the scene would be cut away for excessive blood loss and the fact that anything involving a head wound is usually a no-no.

Here's images of two scenes involved:

Head Pop #1
Head Pop #2

What's odd was that after one of the episodes, we saw a person having their head blown off with a rifle in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Though I'm not aware of what rating the episode or series for GitS got.

Stand Alone Complex has a MA rating on CN.

Why can't they go over TV-14 if the Boondocks can? I want to see blood in the last episode of Bebop!

I believe the main reason for Boondocks having TV-MA is because of it's overly high usage of the N-word per episode. >_>;

You mean..."nigga" O_O

Oh child no he didn't!

Yes I did. But, on a more serious note, it's understandable as to why Naruto would be censored. It is shown at 9:00 PM on a Saturday. Children stay up past bed time to watch it and it's part of Toonami. FMA on the other hand shouldn't be censored. It's part of a block named "Adult Swim".

Let me repeat myself; "Adult Swim". As in all kids out of the pool. There is even a warning before the first show that only fourteen(or is it thirteen) year-olds should view the following programs. So, I don't see why anything that doesn't involve extremely detailed private parts would be censored; seeing as how that is what separates "R" from "PG-13".

Though it's a few years old, this is a good way on how to call things:

I figured it was getting to see a minor being peed on by R. Kelly in the first episode that did it...

:P I find it funny that 'Adult Swim' may not be suitable for people under 14. Since when is 14 the legal age to smoke, drink, or have sex? :P Cracks me up, especially since I started watched AS when I was...what? 12. 8)

My sister and I watch Adult swim, and she's 7! :!: We kids are just growing up sooner now and days. (I learned about the birds and the bees when I was 4)
Even I became a loser when I made one of these...

It's always angered me as to how sensitive we are around here. What more can I say? It's the world we live in, and yet we wish to always water it down. Sometimes I wish they would set something up where the TV would force you to prove how old you are before even letting you watch the program.

Or, on a more situational side, perhaps an entire channel with nothing but undubbed, (but accurately subtitled,) unedited anime. Then we could just call the whole thing off. Wouldn't that be nice?

I hope that made sense.

Meh, I figured it all out on my own at about 7ish by looking at a plug:

Would be okay, but you've got to remember that-

1. Japanese licensors wouldn't want that.
2. a large majority of Anime is actually pretty weak
3. There wouldn't be any visable market for such a channel.

Would write up the whys and hows, but if you really want to know, I guess you can ask :)

It could be a pay channel on dish network or digital cable. :P Toonami Unlimited or something! I'm just dreaming a little, but I know that's it's improbable. Who knows, it might manifest itself as something similar someday, just not tomorrow.

But I digress; this is a Dragonball forum. :)
