There are fans who believe that Goku could beat Superman without having to turn SSJ so there is going to be rage regardless since Goku will be going SSJ and beyond.

As for Goku and Supes, Goku can just teleport himself to a senzu bean or grab some kryptonite if in trouble, or teleport Supes to some kryptonite so, I'd give it to him.

How can Goku teleport to a bean of some kryptonite? Neither of those things have a familiar ki for him to lock onto.

(and I don't know how powerful Supes is, but SSJ 3 should be more than enough to last a while with him)

Like I said, they are going to use SS4. The preview just ended after Goku went SS2. In the full video he's presumably going 3, then 4, which is weird because he's in his Boo arc gear without a tail.

Well he does have his power pole (granted, he always just grab it from the lookout). Besides, they probably just used his most recognizable appearance to possibly avoid confusion.

But the issue at hand is that they simply look at raw strength, and not battle tactics. Goku is well trained in fighting, and in the earlier series is seen to be able to adapt to his opponents fighting style, while Superman seems to opt to pound people into submission.

They never said that they hate Dragon Ball. They have said what they hate & love in both Dragon Ball and Superman. And they take this project very seriously, they are not going to have their favorite of the two to win. And honestly, while I would like Goku to be the winner, I think Superman is going to win. But we will see until then.

If they hated DBZ they would be using pre-crisis silver-age superman and they wouldn't have supes resorting to sun-dipping.

They are both well trained in fighting, and they both use raw strength unless a plan is actually needed. Its covered in this thread and in the comments of screwattack.

When they did Link vs Cloud I thought Cloud was going to win even though I was a huge LOZ fan so I've still got hope for Goku winning.

So far they said the fight won't be before new years. We probably won't see it until mid-late January. So far SSJ2 Goku seems to be winning, Supes is sun dipping, and the fight will end with SSJ4 Goku vs Sun Dipped Post-Crisis Superman(which will be at all-star levels).
