It's simple. Showing a woman's naughty bits is a no-no, yet naked is children is supposedly okay because they're "oh so cute." Why else do you think they get away with showing nude children (even if just from behind) on diaper commercials yet hardly show anything when it's a growing woman?

The term "Double standard" comes to mind.

We can see people come apart as they are blasted into oblivion, but shot in the head with a sniper rifle?

We can see little boys running around nude, but a womans chest is off limits?

In Vol.40/24 they altered the guns of the two mad gunmen into wierd lazer things, and made "zapping" sfx to boot.

They also removed the gun wounds on the old couple and Bee.

So yhea.

I kind of figured that the "ZAP" and "KA-ZAP" sound effects were edits. Can anyone with the Japanese vol. 40 and the English vol. 24 check and see if the guns were really altered, too? They don't really look like they were.

Also, Duo, what was dumbed down about the Goku/Kaioshin bribe?

I checked some highly illegal Fanslations myself and yes, the guns are very, very, very edited.

About the Kaioshin Bribe - If I remember correctly, the original had Goku offering Elder Kaioshin a kiss from Bulma, and not just meeting her.

And when Goku shoots him in the face to test his power...do you honestly think that the original had Elder Kaioshin yelling things such as "Dumbbutt"?

Yeah. I think the original recipent was to be Videl, then Goku changed it due to the look of horror on Gohan's face

What did they changed in the later printings of the dragonball manga since I own the first printings, hehehe.Anime and manga will be popular in north america when and only when they start dubbing for the teens and young adult fans(the real targets in japan,anyway)
