"Shin Budokai" Video

Post by DBZ MAN » Sat Feb 25, 2006 4:39 pm

Let us place all future Shin Budokai clips in this topic.

So what we know now is that we can have fusion from the begining, transform mid-game and that Frieza starts in his 4th form (unless we can pick which form we start with).

I have one more thing to add to your description. It looks like that you can now execute ultimate attacks from a distance instead of knocking your opponent into the air before the ultimate attacks in Budokai 3.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita

Nevermind, I'll host it.

Here... http://www.julieanngreen.f2s.com/video2.AVI

I know how much of a pain in the ass Megaupload can be.

The video was good. Very, very quick fight, but it showed how the real-time ultimates work, and they look great.

Also, I loved how Vegito actually used Ki waves as part of his regular combo, and not a death move. That's an excellent touch. In game transformations are officially in as well, which will dispel any rumours bought up by that screenshot over on GameSpot, which showed Super Saiyan 2 Goku on the character selection screen.

Too bad for the low quality. But it looks good (from what I can see).

Hope to see some new videos soon!

Oh man, they should bring this game to the ps2. And they should increase the cast of characters at least put as many as there are in B3, right?

There are some new videos, unfortunately on Megaupload. Can anyone convert them?

Wow...Looks like Dimps improved several aspects of the game! The intro clip showed Vegeta (or somebody else) doing something similar to Sparking's Dragon Dash around his opponent, which made a side-scroll fighting game more sophisticated. And looks like Broli can use Gigantic Press and Gigantic Meteor without transforming, plus Trunks can use the Burning Slash without transforming too. I recall Ryo Mito saying that each forms has different moves. Does that mean there are some new moves waiting for us to find out!!?!?!?

Nope, you saw every single move in the game within those 5 video clips. :P

Despite the blurryness of the video itself, the games looks to be pretty crisp and smooth. I really want a PSP now! This might just turn out to be the ultimate game in the Budokai series!

In case no-one's picked up on them, there's a heap more Shin Budokai videos on IGN and GameSpot.

However, I've noticed something; are Teleport Counters actually still in Shin Budokai? I've seen the Teleport Tornado, but haven't seen any evidence of teleport counters. It looks like they're aiming to replace them with the new aura dash feature.

If anyone has seen otherwise, let me know. It would suck if they took Counters out, seeing as they're one of the major reasons Budokai 3's gameplay was as good as it was.

Until I saw the game in motion with this video and one other on some game news site I didn't really care about this game.

Now I want a PSP.

That is just flat out awesome. I can't wait to get my hands on a PSP for a lot of other reasons, but now more then ever. :D
Best. Slip 'n' slide. EVER!

I'm quite liking what I'm seeing. I am slightly dissapointed that it looks like there won't be alternative costumes but you can't have everything.

My one and only complaint, it doesn't look like you can have Adult Gohan in his purple gi. Being Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 won't feel the same in his orange gi, it'll feel like Dragonball GT.

I'm a fan of the "unmasked Saiyaman costume" he had in DBZB2. Shame it was never included in DBZB3.
