Tips on beating the final area in Budokai 2's Dragon World?
It's probably the only slightly hard stage in the game. Getting through all of the pallete-swaped Saibamen and Cell Jrs is the easy part. You can skip Freeza altogether if you choose the right teleportation carpet. Cell is a pain in the ass to beat with him staying on that stupid "decreasing health" effect space. Though that's not even the hard part. Kid Buu is the actual stupid hard part. He can rack combos on you easily. He doesn't give you any time to counter. He spams his ki attacks (that pink ball attack is a contender for the most cheap attack in the game) like there is no tomorrow. He also starts, if I am not mistaken, with more ki than you. Plus, you have to defeat him five times, since he has five squares on his avatar. Honestly, I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but Potara and Gotenks don't work in the story mode. Please help!

Actually, you don't need to fight Cell, either. The carpet that's placed at the top left corner of the stage teleports you to Buu. So choose the characters that get some power-ups when meeting each other (like Goku and Vegeta), and just send your supporting characters to battle, because if Goku dies, the game will be over. Even if they die, you'll probably beat Buu at least two or three times with them. Then just send Goku there to finish the job. Who knows, maybe you're not gonna even need him.
Another tip: don't wait too many turns to fight Buu, because after some time, he'll start powering up. However, if you do decide to challenge Freeza and Cell, then after you defeat them, you'll get 30% power up to your stats (attack if you beat Cell, guard if you beat Freeza).
And yeah, fusions don't work in story mode. You can only play as Gotenks on stage 7 and Vegetto on stage 8.
You wanna know something funny? When you'll finally be able to play at the highest difficulty levels, Kid Buu won't be that much of a challenge, because other guys are also pretty hard to beat. Freeza is probably the most difficult enemy to get rid of, and he appears many times in the story.

I don't understand why anyone would need this now. The Budokai games are extremely easy even on Z3 mode. All you need to do is press square and x a lot...

You could try learning cancel combos so you can deal out some huge damage. I used to struggle with this fight on easy years ago but now I can perfect him on very hard thanks to combos.
Or you could take the easier route and equip viral heart disease with vaccine. That way his health slowly goes down while yours stays normal. Just try to defend well then finish him off when his health is on red.

As 90sDBZ pointed out praciting cancel combos so you can deal out large amounts of damage is a good way to go. For Budokai 3 it also became important to learn to manage your Ki efficiently to make sure you're always at an advantage against your opponent.theawesomepossum777 wrote:It's probably the only slightly hard stage in the game. Man is Kid Boo hard.
I never could beat that guy in a full health fight. I did beat him with my party though.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I haven't played that game in literally YEARS. All I remember is that even on the game's easiest setting, Kid Boo is hard to win against.
I usually choose Tien as my second pawn in that part. He may not win, but he's got some killer moves that bring Boo down enough for Goku to get the edge.

I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

I always found him much easier to deal with when using Goten. Maybe its because they are short characters. My advice to power up as much as you can along the way.

Man, how could I forget? If you choose Goten and Kid Trunks, Goten's defence will raise by 30% if you meet with Trunks. Then meet with Goku, and he'll get another 30% to defence! You can basically make him immortal on stage 5, where you can also find another defece-boosts.
