Destiny's Echo - Concept idea by me. Written by AmericanVigor (Writer of Honor-Trip).

In this alternate scenario, Cell's self-explosion had a quite different result! Experience the new adventures of Cell, Goku, King Kai and more in the ascended plane of Otherworld! Will Cell accept defeat? Read to find out!

This, along with From Enemy to Student were two idea's I had stuck in my head for years, now brought to life into the form of Fan-Fiction.

I'm asking the fine people here at Kanzenshuu if they could take some time to read both of these stories, possibly also leave a review if you can as well in either the fanfic or right here in this topic. It would really mean a whole lot to me if you could as I work quite hard with the writers to establish a good reading experience based on these ideas.

Just finished reading Destiny's Echo and I gotta' say, it was a pleasantly nice read. Once I started reading it felt like I was watching it unravel in my head like an actual episode and I thought you handled the characters and situations extremely close to how they would've been portrayed if included in the anime.

I think the story is a great idea, I especially enjoyed reading the slight differences that exist in this new timeline, such as Mr. Satan not getting credit for Cell's defeat and #18 going for Trunks and not Kuririn. It's got a good pace going and the chapters are a decent enough size, If i had to say anything remotely critical it'd be that sometimes the dialogue doesn't seem in-character, for example a couple of things Goku says seem a little bit too witty and clever for Goku, and when Cell was protesting that Yemma's judgement wasn't relative (even though that was a very nice piece of dialogue).

Overall I enjoy it and am looking forward to any further chapters that might be released, so long as they don't include SSJ5.

We try to keep the characters relatively in-character as much as we can so that in these types of what-if situations, they remain believable if they were indeed to happen.

As for Goku, although he's a naive manchild, I wouldn't put it above him to be witty in battle. Some of the stuff he did he did in his fight with Burter and Jeice seemed to be this, at least to me.

Cell's protest is more or less a reference to one of AmericanVigor's other fanfics, Honor Trip. In that fic, a version of Cell displays the same mentality as seen here in Destiny's Echo, which made up part of his character. It's there for readers who have read Honor Trip and can have a little laugh at the reference. You should give Honor Trip a read as well if you get the time.

I do have to note though, #18 going for Trunks had me make a "On Snap!" reaction as well, since it was so unexpected. We're not sure if anything does develop between the two, though me and AmericanVigor have joked about around the idea of Trunks taking #18 to the future, defeating the future androids and in the end, both #18's fall for Trunks, leaving him a happy man in a happier future. What a shame for Krillin! XD

Thinking about it just now, that actually wouldn't be a half bad idea for a spin-off fanfic, just to show Trunks' life living with two hot Androids. Probably would only be a oneshot of course, though has potential if Cell gets involved.

Also, when you get the chance, could you possibly leave a review for 'From Enemy to Student'? It features a wonderful backstory of sorts for how the Ginyu Force met each other, how they were formed and I pretty much consider it canon-worthy.

Also, no need to worry about any SSJ5's in my fics. Heck, we'll probably ignore most GT elements apart from maybe using the Shadow Dragons as villains.

It is currently under development, so don't give up hope yet!

I've contacted AmericanVigor so we can hopefully work out a schedule for when new chapters are released.
