If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? Yep, all of this.

I'm still waiting on the Dragonball Dragonboxes.. and Movies Dragonbox..

I got all DBZ Dragonboxes and it's really messing with my OCD not having Dragonball and all 16 movies with the same quality.

BD releases of everything is cool and all, but I'm collecting Dragonboxes, and FUNimation is blue balling me.

I get the idea Funimation would probably want to comission a Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT Kai.

Atleast you got all of Z. We couldn't even get all of the Saiyan saga on blu ray lol

I just hope that whenever they release DBox: The Movies, we get the specials in 4:3 and the movies in 16:9. Also, the original PTETS, which was included with the Japanese Z DBox, so I'm sure Funi at least acquired the rights to it with the rest of the footage.

Concentrate more on shelling out the Dragon Boxes than Blu-ray releases that could be extremely poor quality, at least with the Dragon Boxes it's certain to have consistent quality on all.

What FUNimation did for DBZ Levels Mini Collection might not happen again, or at least in that much.

Anyway, it's 2013 so what's the big announcement FUNimation was supposed to have?
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

It'd be neat to get DragonBox masters on Blu-Ray.

Toei would have to start all over again with the whole process, though.

I actually asked about what this would mean once upon a time, and really, it wouldn't be any different than watching the DVDs as they're already upscaled by Blu-Ray players anyway. The DBox was mastered in 480p, so there just isn't any extra visual information that you'd be getting by putting them on blu-ray.

As long as they get to releasing all of the Dragon Boxes on DVD, I don't mind them taking it slowly. Seriously, though, get on that, Funimation.

Take a step back and think about that second one. (and why it is impossible to make)

I can see FUNi cutting the "Lost Episodes", "re-mastering" GT ala DBZ Season Sets , complete re-dub with Japanese score, new English OP & ED songs, and... Dragon Ball GT Kai, exclusively on Blu-ray! :lolno:

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Honestly, I hope there's an option of getting the Dragon Box versions of the movies as singles, because I'm not paying fifty, sixty dollars for four good movies, a couple of decent ones, and 7 terrible ones. Dragon Box quality is not going to make Broly disappear.

The whole point of Kai was to make it the manga cut of the anime adaptation. No GT manga, no GT Kai. As far as remastering GT, they already did that (kinda.)

If there was a GT Kai, it would have zero episodes.

I meant remastering the frames and putting into bluray.

adding the Z to Kai seemed very 'oh we can't say Dragon Ball Kai cus then what will we call Dragon Ball Kai when this sells well?'

I believe it was Toei's idea to put the Z in DBZ Kai for international releases. I guess to make it less confusing. That doesn't mean there will be a DB Kai, though I wouldn't mind that. DB doesnt have a lot of filler though.

GT is 100% filler. If you only keep the action parts though, it would only be like 25 episodes long.

Out of curiosity, which ones are the good ones and which ones are the decent ones?

Well, I like more than I said, but I don't like some of them enough to add to my collection.

The only ones I really want to add to my collection are Movie 1, Movie 9, Movie 12, and a couple of others (maybe the Coola movies). The rest are okay at best, horrific at worst.

I certainly don't want to spend any money on Movie 4 or any of the Broly movies (8,10,11).

Ah, I see. Movie 1 has always been one of my personal favorites. Such a shame the Garlic Jr. arc was so nonsensical.

I've never actually seen Movie 9, though. Is it really that good?
