Yes, the version of the comic colorized digitally without, presumably, the original author as a consultant will certainly appease all the purists.

I already own the most uncut release of the original tankobans released over here, so I'm mostly sated on B&W Dragon Ball releases (I'd still buy, but a full color release is far more of an incentive for me). I bought the B&W HC releases of the Mirage TMNT stuff and the single issue color reprints as well, so I'm willing to double dip, just give me the option, lol.

I certainly hope so. I've been collecting the New 52 DC trades and I'd love to be able to have glorious, fully colored DBZ right next to them!

Same here. Originally, Kaiō-Ken seems to lighten Gokū up much more which is conveyed in white color, while in the new coloring, the color is just a little brighter.

This is really beautiful! That Kaioken is really well done, there's just something about it that seems, much, much better and more impressive than in the anime.
I already prefered the Kanzenban limited palette version to the anime version for some reason, but now the full color version is even better.
I can't really put my finger on it, but there's just something very beautiful about that version. Maybe the fact that the aura keeps that slightly-pinkish red of Z, but Goku itself is more like Kai's orangy red, and the two combined seem to give some sort of shining or relief effect or something... I don't know exactly what it is, but it feels great!

And being able to see Goku having a clearly orange gi with white-lined boots, it's really refreshing!

I do hope that I'll be able to find some scans of the volumes once they get released, even though I don't think that's the kind of thing that's often done (I'll still try my luck though)!
...Or that Glénat will suddenly go crazy and say "let's start this new collection right now while we're still releasing the Kanzenban and Anime Comics at the same time"! Yeah, dreams are so sweet before their unfulfilment stabs you in the back...
Regardless of the way, I hope more and more that I'll be able to see it somehow way before it's finally released here!

But I guess even if it's impossible to find any full volume scanned, just getting a few glimpses of interesting pages here and there should be enough to keep waiting in the end, and THAT shouldn't be hard to find...

Just a bit taken back by the "tankobon size" but that means it'll fit right there with my unfinished tankobon DB collection (they canceled the release here in Portugal after the 18th volume, so right before the beggining of the Battle with Nappa), so I think I'm gonna finish the manga collection in color (and Japanese xD).
I'm just not too keen on the volume covers (if this is the actual cover):


EDIT: Now that I think about it, that image is from the illustration of chapter 227, so maybe that's just the cover for the promotional chapter that came with the magazine (but that one is 228...)

I'm pretty sure the trial book's cover isn't meant to be the same as the cover for the actual book. However, unlike the Chōzenshū (however tentative the design was), we didn't get any look at the full color comics' covers. I wonder if there will be new illustrations, or if they'll just reuse something that already exists.

Yeah, mainly on the new ones (such as Kaioken Goku). It'll hurt even more when we see images that were originally on black and white (like the scouter crushing ones, except we never saw these in good quality like these).

I'm willing to bet that VIZ thinks they already localized the Kanzenban. They just called it VIZBIG, and half-assed it somewhat.
