If they were to do something like that, it would have to be this year with MS and Sony gearing up for their next consoles in 14/15. Of course that depends on how much dlc they want to release and how long.
Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
I'm not sure if this actually means anything, but the 'Dragon Ball- Games' page, in a random tidbit about Naruto Storm 3's Kamehameha Rasengan, noted that: "there is not much to tell [us] (yet)". I wonder how we're supposed to take that...

I take this to imply that there will be information regarding a new DB game probably soon.

I wouldn't put it past them to lie and hold people at bay.

I think the next game is likely not going to be RB3. You can hope all you want, but the game was a failure. They are not going to waste time and money on a sequel to a game that flopped.

I still play RB2 a lot. If they polish it up, add some things as suggested by Treevax and RB3 could make lots of $$$ £££ ¥¥¥.

Yeah they just always half-ass it in some aspects.

Dude BT4/RB3 needs to be a thing. BT3 only needs a few things for it to be the definitive DBZ game, same goes for RB3. We need a hefty character roster, basically BT3's with a few characters like SSJ3 Vegeta and SSJ Bardock. A character creator that is as in depth as SC5. A stage selection with a bit more variety than BT3's. Cell shaded graphics like in Treevax's dream for the game. Something really wired that I would really like is fluid movement like in Burst Limit. I don't know if you guys noticed but character movement, as well as hair movement like in Raditz's case, was phenomenal. We also need a great story with RPG mechanics and an Immersive overworld. Now gameplay-wise if they wanted to go above and beyond they could have a Budokai mode and a Tenkaichi mode.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

All of this would require them to put the yearly game contract away.

They bought themselves a year with Kinect and the Budokai HD Collection. Throw in a Tenkaichi HD Collection and something else this year and maybe they can actually develop something.InfernalVegito wrote:All of this would require them to put the yearly game contract away.

The ideas suggested by Treevax are awesome and all, but do you really think they will use them? Companies don't have the time to sit down and read fan ideas. Most companies don't take fan ideas outside the company since I remember Square Enix told me in a e-mail before in 2005 before Final Fantasy 12 was coming out that they would not use my ideas because I didn't work for them.

Nostal/Treevax has some interesting ideas and I would love most of them to be included in a new game.
Spike's SSJ transformations need some work though. Treevax's take on transformation:

I also don't think they will ever listen to fan ideas but it was a nice gesture that they sat down with him so he could show them his ideas.
We are right in the time where information about a new game is desperately needed. We know they worked on the Budokai HD collection and the Kinect game now. What could be next? BT HD collection seems logical, but we'll see. And then?
Well, we can only wait.
Also it's sad to see that a mere fan can make a better transformation than actual game developers.

I doubt there will be a Tenkachi/Sparking collection. I think the whole HD collection was made because it was the 10th anniversary of the games and the first Budokai game is the reason why we have DBZ game being made in the first place. If the game bombed then we won't have any DBZ games now.

Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
I left a comment on Dragon Ball - Games' FaceBook criticising the DBZ games and this was their response:
Seems like Namco Bandai doesn't seem to know which direction to take the DBZ franchise to and who to let develop the games. They need feedback but when they expect all to be happy and no negativity, that isn't a good sign. Trevax's RB3 isn't good for the future of DBZ games, it's just more of the same.Ouch. You know this kind of comment could really let us wonder if it's worth making games on Dragon Ball indeed...
How dare you saying that all games we created are awful? Why don't you just say that your preference is the Budokai series (I assume it is because that's the only one you didn't include).
This is called being positive. No need to thank.

Dude needs to man up. But you didn't really have to say they were awful, just not up to par. Not that you were lying or anything, lol.dbboxkaifan wrote:I left a comment on Dragon Ball - Games' FaceBook criticising the DBZ games and this was their response:

Nah... dbboxkaifan has the right to express his opinion, but the Namdai rep should've just said "lol ok".DarkPrince_92 wrote:Dude needs to man up. But you didn't really have to say they were awful, just not up to par. Not that you were lying or anything, lol.

You know it could be that you are just tired of DBZ games in general. RB3 looks fantastic and it would seem to me you are just exceptionally nit-picky. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion but awful? RB1 and 2 were fine. The only awful one released has been DBZ Kinect and that's measured objectively not subjectively. However wow, The Namco Bandai employee seems like a real @$$ hole. Negative criticism helps improve the series so he shouldn't take it so hard...dbboxkaifan wrote:I left a comment on Dragon Ball - Games' FaceBook criticising the DBZ games and this was their response:
